Lloyd versus Badger.

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Errors argued, upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Thomas Lloyd is Plaintiff, and John Badger Defendant:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Errors argued, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Fifth Day of May next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by the Lord William Pawlet and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Estate of Sir John Bowyer Baronet in Trustees, to enable him to make a Settlement, in order to his Marriage;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Ld. Somers impeached.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Harcourt and others:

Who, at the Bar of this House, in the Name of the House of Commons and all the Commons of England, impeached John Lord Sommers of high Crimes and Misdemeanors; and acquainted this House, "That the House of Commons will, in due Time, exhibit particular Articles against the said Lord, and make good the same."

E. of Orford impeached.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Colonel Bierly and others:

Who, at the Bar of this House, in the Name of the House of Commons and all the Commons of England, impeached Edward Earl of Orford of high Crimes and Misdemeanors; and acquainted this House, "That the House of Commons will, in due Time, exhibit particular Articles against the said Lord, and make good the same."

Ld. Halifax impeached.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Bruges and others:

Who, at the Bar of this House, in the Name of the House of Commons and all the Commons of England, impeached Charles Lord Halifax of high Crimes and Misdemeanors; and acquainted this House, "That the House of Commons will, in due Time, exhibit particular Articles against the said Lord, and make good the same."

Lindsey Level, Bill rejected.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming the Decrees made by the Commissioners of Sewers, concerning the draining of Lindsey Levell."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Willughby of Eresby reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Then the Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall be engrossed?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

ORDERED, That the said Bill be rejected.

Tidcombe versus Boddington.

After hearing Counsel, at the Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of John Tidcombe Esquire, from a Decree of the Court of Chancery, the Twentieth of February One Thousand Seven Hundred, in a Cause wherein the Petitioner was Complainant, against James Bodington, John Cholmley, and others, Defendants; praying, "That the said Decree may be reversed, and the Judgement recovered at Law discharged and vacated, or a perpetual Injunction awarded;" as also upon the Answer of James Bodington and John Cholmley put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

It is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of John Tidcombe shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.

Brookfield and Newport Markets, Bill rejected.

After hearing Counsel (before the Third Reading) for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming the Grants of Newport Market and Brookfield Market, in the County of Middl'x;" and Debate thereupon:

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be read the Third Time?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Then the Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

ORDERED, That the said Bill be rejected.

Watty to attend: Sloane arrested when going to attend a Committee of this House.

An Affidavit of Edward Watty being read; shewing, "That Mr. Sloane being taken by one of the Officers of the Sheriff of Middl'x, upon an Attachment, and detained, although Mr. Sloane informed the Officer, that he was then going to attend a Committee of the House of Lords:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Watty do attend this House To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock.

Dormer versus Bertie et al.

Whereas To-morrow was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein John Dormer is Appellant, and Charles Bertie and others are Respondents:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Saturday the Third Day of May next, at Eleven of the Clock.
