Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Thanks of this House be, and are hereby, given to the Lord Bishop of St. David's, for his Sermon preached before this House Yesterday, in the Abbey Church, Westminster; and he is desired to print and publish the same.

Lovet's Bill:

The Amendment made by the House of Commons to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to make Building Leases of Part of the Estate late of John Lovet, deceased, lying in the City of Dublin," was read Thrice, and agreed to.

Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to Amendments to it.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Annesley and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to Her Majesty several Duties upon Coals, for building Fifty new Churches in and about the Cities of London and Westminster, and Suburbs thereof, and other Purposes therein mentioned;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Conyers and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for making good Deficiencies, and satisfying the Public Debts; and for erecting a Corporation to carry on a Trade to The South Seas; and for the Encouragement of the Fishery; and for Liberty to trade in unwrought Iron with the Subjects of Spain; and to repeal the Acts for registering Seamen;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Vice-chamberlain and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for paying and clearing a Detachment of the Guards in Spain, after the Battle of Almanza, between the Four and Twentieth Day of August and Four and Twentieth Day of October One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven; and for supplying the Defect of the Muster Rolls of the said Detachment within that Time;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Lockhart and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act to empower the Barons of the Exchequer in Scotland to take, examine, and state, the Accompts of the Commissioners for the Equivalent-money;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Duty on Coals, for building Churches, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting to Her Majesty several Duties upon Coals, for building Fifty new Churches in and about the Cities of London and Westminster, and Suburbs thereof, and other Purposes therein mentioned."

Coal Trade Bill:

The House was (according to Order) adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to dissolve the present, and prevent the future, Combination of Coal Owners, Lightermen, Masters of Ships, and others, to advance the Price of Coals, in Prejudice of the Navigation, Trade, and Manufactures of this Kingdom; and for the further Encouragement of the Coal Trade."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Clarendon reported, "That the Committee had heard Counsel upon the several Petitions, for and against the Bill, to them referred; and had gone through the said Bill, and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments;"

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Fellows and Mr. Orlebar:

To carry down the said Bill; and acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the same, with some Amendments, whereunto their Lordships desire their Concurrence.

Assize of Bread, Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for the Third Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for explaining and amending an Act, made in the Eighth Year of Her Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act to regulate the Price and Assize of Bread:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be read the Third Time To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock.
