PRAYERS.

Thurston's Bill.

The Earl of Manchester reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate late of Joseph Thurston Esquire, deceased, lying in the Counties of Suffolk and Essex, for Payment of his Debts, and making Provision for his Infant Children," was committed: That they had considered of the said Bill; that the Allegations thereof were true, and the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the Bill be engrossed.

Bertie's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better enabling the Honourable James Bertie Esquire to raise Portions for his Younger Children."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Holford and Mr. Bennet:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Cornwall's Bill.

The Earl of Yarmouth reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the exonerating and discharging the Manors, Lands, and Hereditaments, of Francis Cornwal Esquire, and likewise the said Francis Cornwal, of and from certain Articles of Agreement, made before the Marriage of the the said Francis Cornwal." was committed: "That they had considered of the said Bill, and found the Allegations thereof to be true; and that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the Bill be engrossed.

Coin, Resolutions about, to be reported.

The House being informed, "That the Committee appointed to consider and report further Methods for preventing the melting down the Coins of this Kingdom, had come to some Resolutions; which they had directed to be reported to the House, when their Lordships will please to receive the same."

Ordered, That the said Report be received on Saturday next, the First Business; and the Lords to be summoned.

Messages from H. C. with Bills.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Colonel Cadogan and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for repairing the Highways from Maidenhead Bridge to Sunning Lane End (next to Twiford), in the Road to Reading, and from the said Bridge to Henley Bridge, in the County of Berks;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Erle and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better explaining several Acts therein mentioned, for erecting of Hospitals and Workhouses within the City of Bristol, for the employing and maintaining the Poor thereof; and for making the said Acts more effectual;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Mutiny Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for punishing Mutiny and Desertion; and for the better Payment of the Army and their Quarters."

Ordered, That the said Bill be read a Second Time on Tuesday next; and the Lords to be summoned.

Address for Papers concerning the Forces.

Ordered, That an humble Address be presented to His Majesty, "That His Majesty will be pleased to order the proper Officers to lay before this House an Account how the Forces at present kept up are constituted, and the Number of Regiments; distinguishing the Horse, Foot, and Dragoons; with the Number of Officers and Private Men in each Regiment, Troop, or Company.

"Also, an Account of what Number of Forces, distinguishing the Horse, Foot, and Dragoons, were kept up in the Beginning of April 1715.

Also, an Account of the last Reduction of the Forces; and in what Manner the same was effected.

"Also, the Order for allowing Servants to the Officers of the several Regiments of the Army, or an authentic Copy thereof.

"Also, the Proceedings of the Court Martial against Ensign Gore.

"Also, Copies of the Articles of War in Being during Three Years last past.

"Also, a List of all the Half Pay Officers.

"And also, a List of all such Officers as have been displaced, either with Leave to sell or otherwise, since His Majesty's Accession to the Throne; with a List of all such Officers as have succeeded in their Places."

Ordered, That the said Address be presented to His Majesty by the Lords with White Staves.

Robbery, &c. to prevent, Bill.

Ordered, That this House be on Saturday next (immediately after the Business already appointed) put into a Committee of the whole House upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the further preventing Robbery, Burglary, and other Felonies; and the more effectual Transportation of Felons and unlawful Exporters of Wool."

Bone Lace Bill.

Ordered, That this House be likewise on Saturday next, put into a Committee of the whole House upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of the whole Traders and Dealers in English Bone Lace, by obviating several Doubts in the several Acts for licensing Hawkers and Pedlars."

Adjourn.
