Edward I, 1272-1307
The records of Edward I's parliaments consist not of a series of discrete rolls, one per parliament, but of a variety of original rolls, files and bundles of petitions, several of which include material relating to more than one parliament of the reign.
The 'Introductions to Individual Parliaments' provide a brief guide to what is known about each parliament and the records relating to it which are known to survive; they also provide references to these records, which are reproduced below under 'Original Documents: Edward I Parliaments'.
