Charter confirming livery at the special request of William Knyvet knight, son and heir of John Knyvette deceased, of Mendilsham manor co. Suffolk, which Henry Colette lately held together with Henry Bumpsted and Robert and John Colette, mercers of London, and William Foorde of Hadlegh co. Suffolk, 'clothman,' all deceased, by gift of the said John Knyvette and William Knyvette esquires and which descended to John Colette [the younger] because Henry Colette survived his cofeoffees; to be held to the same uses and intentions as by the previous feoffees; appointment of Richard Randolf and Edward Reve as attorneys to convey seisin. Charter confirming gift with warranty of 4 messuages with gardens annexed in Croydon co. Surrey between the messuage of Richard Carewe knight on the east and 'le Watering place' by 'le Cawcy' of the archbishop of Canterbury on the west, their fronts abutting on the king's highway towards the north and their rears on Bisshopesponde towards the south; likewise two pieces of meadow lying together in Petilake between the land of Croydon rectory on the north and lands of Matthew Melche on the south, abutting on Teyntfeld to the east and on the highway called Petylake to the west; likewise 1 a. in a field called 'le Stone' bounded by the archbishop's land to the north, east and west and by Camerwelleslond to the south; with all his other lands etc. in Croydon inherited from his father. August 8. Recognizance by Richard Warde late of Clewar co. Berks, gentleman, to Thomas Lovell and Richard Cholmeley knights, Thomas Hobbes clerk and Edmund Dudley and John Heron esquires for 1,000l. Condition (English): appearance before king and Council at any time before Christmas next within 15 days of commandment; Richard and Agnes his wife to make sufficient surety of their lands for observance of the covenants contained in indentures of even date, viz. that upon due request they shall make estate of all the said lands to the cognizees to hold to the use of Richard and Agnes and Richard's heirs or, in case of nonpeformance, to the use of the king.

Acknowledgment of receipt of 264l. 8s. 2d. and ½ farthing in addition to the 532l. 5½d. received by Anne during her widowhood by indentures dated 18 March, 21 Henry VII, in full settlement of all moneys, goods etc. specified in inventories indented of 5 July 1505 made by authority of William archbishop of Canterbury. Release and quitclaim with warranty of a tenement, a garden, two orchards (pomariis) and other lands in Lingfeld called Sessyngfeld between land of John Harlyng and Pakynsheth common on the east, land of Richard Underhyll on the west and south and land of John Umfrey on the north and yearly rents of 2d. and a rose issuing respectively from a close there of about 1 a. now in tenure of Thomas Underhill and from 2 crofts called Blowys now in tenure of John Harlyng, which Walter sold to Thomas Wodye for 24l. 13s. 4d. and which the said Thomas etc. recovered against him in Michaelmas term, 23 Henry VII, under the description (per nomen) of a messuage, a garden, 20 a. land, 22 a. pasture, 8 a. wood and 2d. and a rose of rent.
