THE TESTAMENT OF ROBERT BUCKOLL.

8 May, 1508. I Robert buckoll of kyrton, etc. To be buryed in the parysh church yerde of st. peter and paule in kyrton. I bequeth in the name of my mortuary aftyr the custome of the towne. To the high altare in the church of kyrton ijd. To our lady altare in the same church jd. To the reparacion of our mother churche of lincoln ijd. To the reparacion of the sayd church of kyrton iiijd. To Agnes my wyff ij pecys of arable lande, conteynyng one acre and a halff togeder lying, duryng the hole terme of her lyff. And yff she be with chylde, yff it be a sonne I will that the lande shall remayn to hym and hys heyres. And yff she be with a doughter I will that the lande remayn to Margaret my doughter and to that daughter that my sayd wyff is pregnant with equally to be devydyd betwene them. And yff it fortune my said sonne and doughter or doughters all to decease afore they comme to laufull age, I will that aftyr the decease of my wyff the lande be solde be my feoffys therin and by the church wardons of kyrton for the tyme beyng, and the money therfore by them to be receyvyd I will that they dispose it in the church of kyrton in the moste charitable dedes for my soule and for the soulys of my wyff, my father and mother my benefactors and all crysten soulys To margaret my doughter a counter, a chaffyng dyshe, halff a garnyshe of pewter of vessyll, etc. The resydue of my goodes I gyff to Agnes Buckell my wyff, whome I make executrice. Thes beyng wytnes, William Stevynson of kyrton, John ordyng, John obrey, John Arkyll, and Robert Stevynson of the same, with other moy.

Proved before P., at Boston, 24 May, 1531, by the executrix, etc.
