July 1656

July 12.
York.
Late County Committee for York to the Commissioners for Sequestrations. We thought we had done our duties faithfully, and hoped discharge and quiet. But now we are ordered to perfect our accounts from 25 Jan. 1650, as they have not been signed and allowed by you. Our accounts are with your auditor, and have often been tendered for your signature which was promised, as no exception was taken to them, except about incident charges, which we submit to you; so we thought they had been dispatched and were kept for us by your auditor. Now we beg that you will sign them, allowing charges proportionable to 5 counties, or else refer them to the Treasury Commissioners, or we shall be reflected on and put to great trouble.
