Demise by Thomas Bawd, son and heir of the late Sir William Bawd, knight, to William Colt of Staundon, for six years from Michaelmas next, of a house called 'Tylhous' at the manor of Melkelegh, with land and a pasture called 'Mayeshull,' with free entrance and exit to and from the said house by three ways, viz. towards Pokerych, Eldehallegrene, and Schakelockyslane, for carrying tiles; William is to have pasture for a horse, two cows, and three hogs &c. and Thomas is to have a thousand tiles yearly for roofing the houses there &c. 20 August, 10 Henry V.

Moreton called 'Surreys place,' with a garden adjoining, and a grange standing on the said place with a chamber at one end of the grange and a 'schepcote' at the other and land belonging to the said place &c. to hold for the grantor's life' paying yearly 43s. 4d. for the first ten years, and 100s. afterwards; if the grantees observe the conditions specified &c. then the bond for 20l. in which Richard Colles of Moreton, and the said grantees, are bound to the said Denise, shall be void. Surrey; he bequeaths all his gold and silver vessels and wardrobe to Elizabeth his wife, and, in tail male, to James his son and heir, with remainder to the testator's other heirs male; all his corn and stock he leaves to his unmarried sons and daughters, his money and debts, besides those which he owes for provisions in different counties through all Ireland, he leaves at the disposition of his executors; he desires that his said son James, in compensation for the vessels left to him, shall enfeoff Thomas and Maurice, the testator's sons, in tail male, with all the lands acquired by the testator; and he appoints as his executors, Elizabeth his wife, his son James, and John de Kyngesfold, under the superintendence of his kinsman, William, bishop of London, and Nicholas, abbot of Westminster. Certificate by William, archbishop of Canterbury &c. to John, bishop of Salisbury, the treasurer, and to the barons, of the Exchequer, that the above written will of the earl of Ormond was proved before the archbishop at Canterbury on April 28, A.D. 1386, and administration of all his goods in the province of Canterbury granted to his above-mentioned son James, now earl of Ormond, his executor. Will of John Tybold of Chalke, directing that his body is to be buried in the cemetery of the parish church of St. Mary's, Chalke; he leaves bequests of money for obits, light, repair of the bells, masses for himself and his relatives, and for distribution of bread and ale &c. among the parishioners of Chalke; the rest of his goods are to be disposed of by his wife at her discretion, for his soul; his wife is to have all his lands and messuages &c. in Chalke, until his sons William and Thomas are twenty-four years of age; if his wife's unborn child is a male, it is to share with them, if a girl it is to have four quarters of barley; when the children reach the said age, they are to give his wife 6s. 8d. yearly; if they die within the said age, his wife is to have the said premises for her life, after which they are to descend to the next heir. 9 September, A.D. 1485.
