Nicholas V (Thomas Parentucelli of Sarzana, cardinal priest of St. Susanna's, called the cardinal of Bologna), elected at St. Mary's sopra Minerva, Rome, 6 March, 1447, crowned on the steps of St. Peter's, 19 March (fn. 2) (the beginning of the regnal year), died at Rome, 24 March, 1455. 1
