1466. 4 Id. April. (10 April.) St. Mark's, Rome. (f. 167.)	Relaxation in perpetuity of five years and five quarantines of enjoined penance to all who, being truly penitent and having confessed, visit on the Tuesday next after the feast of St. Thomas the Martyr the chapel of St. Mary in the church of the hospital of St. Thomas the Martyr of Accon, London (in which chapel, as the pope has learned, John Smyt and other brethren of the fraternity or gild, called the Brewers' Gild, propose to found a mass to be celebrated daily for ever for the souls of the said brethren and sisters and all faithful, living and dead), are present at the celebration of the said mass and the office of the dead on the said day, (fn. 2) and give alms for the conservation of the lights, ornaments and buildings of the said chapel. If a like indulgence, in perpetuity or for a time not yet expired, have been granted by the pope, the present letters shall be null and void. Licet is. (Hug(olinus) and Gas(par) Blondus. Prid. Id. Sept. (12 Sept.) St. Mark's, Rome. (f. 190.)	To Robert, bishop in the universal church, sometime bishop of Dunblane. Reservation and assignment (seeing that he has this day resigned to the pope by proxy the rule and administration of the church of Dunblane, and that the pope has admitted it and has made provision of the said church to John, [bishop] elect of Dunblane) of a yearly life pension of 300 gold florins of the Camera on the fruits etc. of the episcopal mensa, to be paid to him in the city of Dunblane by the said [bishop] elect, who has consented, and by his successors, half at Christmas and half at the Nativity of St. John Baptist, under pain of interdict in the event of default for thirty days, and of suspension in case of default for six months. To Walter Ryndon, canon of Dublin, M.A. (fn. 5) Dispensation to receive and retain for life any two benefices with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if major or principal dignities etc., or parish churches or their perpetual vicarages, or such mixed, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. To John Spalding, dean of Brechin, M.A. Dispensation to him, who holds inter alia the said deanery, a major elective dignity with cure, at his own petition and that of James king of Scots, of whose household he is a member, and whose chaplain he is, to receive together with the said deanery [value not expressed] any one other benefice, or without the deanery any two other benefices, with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if two parish churches or their perpetual vicarages, or major or principal dignities, etc., and to retain them for seven years only if they be parish churches or their perpetual vicarages, or for life if they be other incompatible benefices, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases, etc. Litterarum sciencia, vite etc. (Hug(olinus) and Ja. To William Nicolsone, perpetual vicar of the parish church of St. Michael, Burgh by Sands (de Burch iuxta Sandys), in the diocese of Carlisle. Dispensation to receive and retain for life together with the said vicarage, value not exceeding 24 gold florins of the Camera, any one other benefice, or without the vicarage any two other benefices, with cure or otherwise incompatible, even if parish churches or their perpetual vicarages, or major or principal dignities, etc., and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. 1466. Id. Sept. (13 Sept.) St. Mark's, Rome. (f. 259.)	To Andrew, bishop of Glasgow. Faculty to dispose freely of any dignities, etc., canonries and prebends and other benefices with or without cure belonging to his collation, provision, presentation or any other disposal, which become void in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December, provided that they be not generally reserved to the pope, etc., and that he make no use of the faculty which under date Kal. April anno 1 [1465] the pope granted to prelates and other ecclesiastical persons in regard to the collating of benefices in certain months then expressed. Personam tuam. Prorogation by a further three years of his triennial visitation ad limina. his recent petition containing that although he has hitherto performed his triennial visitation, in accordance with his oath at his appointment, he cannot on this occasion conveniently do so, on account of the dangers of the roads and the length of the journey and other lawful hindrances.Personam tuam.
