To Julian, bishop of Sabina, called the cardinal of St. Peter's ad Vincula, the pope's major penitentiary, legate of the apostolic see. Faculty for him, whom the pope is sending as legate a latere to the realms of France, England and Scotland, to all the provinces of Gaul, and the dominions of Maximilian, duke of Austria, and other provinces, cities, lands and places, to admit resignations of any benefices, and make collation of them or grant them in commendam, etc. Cum te ad Francie Anglie et Scotie regna. Faculty for him, whom … places (as in the preceding), to grant indult to any persons within the bounds of his legation, and to any continual commensal members of his household, even if not comprised under his legation, for such time as he shall think good, or for the lives of such persons, to take the fruits of their benefices, and not to be bound to reside therein, whilst studying letters at an university, or in the service of the said legate or kings or great princes, or residing in one of their benefices.
