Mandate to seize and imprison William Marcel, monk of Tintern, forger of papal letters, by which he was to obtain a dignity or office together with his accomplices, and to send the forged letters with full information touching the same, to the pope.

3 Non. Feb. Avignon. (f. 185d.)	To Henry de Niweton, M.A. doctor of medicine and theology. Provision of a canonry of Salisbury, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he is rector of Newton Ferrers, value 10 marks, which he is to resign.

Provision, at the request of Imbert, cardinal of the Twelve Apostles, whose chaplain he is, of a canonry of St. Davids, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he is rector of Stoke, in the diocese of Norwich, and has a canonry of Southwell, with expectation of a prebend.

Ibid. (f. 213d.)	To the bishop of Bath and Wells. Mandate, at the king's request, to appropriate to the abbot and convent of Glastonbury, the church of Buddekalegh (Butleigh), with the chapel of Baltonsbergh, a perpetual vicar's portion being reserved. The appropriation of the same by the late bishop Walter has been defeated by the appointment to it by a former abbot of a clerk, who being instituted by the late bishop holds it to the loss of the monastery.
1331. 5 Kal. Oct. Avignon. (f. 225.)	To John bishop of Exeter. Faculty to assign to his nephew, John de Northwode, canon of Lincoln, and Richard, son of Ralph, of the diocese of Armagh, doctor of theology, canonries of his church, reserving to them prebends of the same.
Ibid. (f. 225d.)	To the bishop of Worcester. Mandate to appropriate to John, bishop of Exeter, whose temporalities are detained by the king, the church of Bishop's Teignton, to take effect on its voidance, a perpetual vicar's portion being reserved.

1332. 17 Kal. April. Avignon. (f. 277.)	To William de Wakefeld, canon of Lichfield. Reservation, at the request of Peter, bishop of Palestrina, whose chaplain he is, of some greater dignity in that church, a former like reservation made to him at the request of Joan, queen of Scotland, having been without effect. William is rector of Kippax, in the diocese of York.

Id. April. Avignon. (f. 292.)	To the bishop of Durham. Mandate to ascertain the facts touching the priory of Durham. John de Croppinges, monk of the same, states that the prior, William de Cotony and other monks are given to levity and waste the goods of the priory. If this be so, the bishop is to proceed against them.
1331. 5 Kal. Oct. Avignon. (f. 332d.)	To John Wily, M.A. of the diocese of Salisbury. Reservation, at the kings request, of a benefice in the gift of the bishop of St. Davids, value 20 marks with cure of souls, or 15 without it.

1332. 7 Kal. May. Avignon. (f. 334d.)	Robert de Hotone, priest, of the diocese of York, the son of a subdeacon, successively rector of Bichamwelle (Beechamwell), in the diocese of Norwich, of Leddrede (Leatherhead) in that of Winchester, and Werington (Wellington) in that of Coventry and Lichfield. He is rehabilitated and the fruits received are remitted to him; Werington, which he now holds, is to be resigned, but he is rendered capable to accept it.
Ibid. (f. 336.)	To Master John Luterel and Rutherius de Miromonte, canons of Salisbury, and another named. Mandate to give the rectory of Werington to Robert de Hotone, it being now void by his resignation.
