12 Kal. April. Avignon. (f. 209d.)	To the bishop of Lincoln. Mandate to appoint some fit person to the abbey of Brunne, void by the death of abbot Simon, and reserved to the pope. Hugh de Spalding, Thomas de Wasterwe, Richard de Grantham, and Roger de Grantham, four of the remaining seven canons of the same, not having found among the canons any fit person, have petitioned the pope in consistory to make provision to the said monastery.
10 Kal. Aug. Villeneuve by Avignon. (f. 216.)	To the bishops of Waterford and Ferns, and the abbot of Voto, in the diocese of Ferns. Mandate, on complaint of Stephen de Kerkyom, prior of SS. Mary and Columba, Instiok, to publicly excommunicate Robert Dobine, Thomas Englond, Henry Gillis, William Gillis, Robert Flan, William son of Thomas, John Hamunde, Henry Dobyn, Philip Prodome, Geoffrey Roche Dobin, and John Arnold, laymen of the diocese of Ossory, who, with their accomplices, attacked the said priory, wounded Stephen, killed one of the canons, tore out of the eyes and tongue of another, and together with Richard, bishop of Ossory, compelled Stephen to resign the priory into the hands of the said bishop. These sacrilegious persons are to remain excommunicate until they have made satisfaction, and come to the apostolic see to be absolved. [Theiner, 309.]
