1420. 12 Kal. Aug. Florence. (f. 44.)	To Branda, cardinal priest of St. Clement's. Grant as below. The pope lately ordered provision to be made to him of the canonry and prebend of Swerdes in Dublin, value not exceeding 200l., which were about to become void by the promotion, made by the pope, and by the approaching consecration of John, archbishop, then elect, of Armagh. The pope now (having recently [below, Reg. CCIX, f. 117d] made provision to Thomas, elect of Hereford, then a notary apostolic, of that see, who claimed and had taken possession of the said canonry and prebend, which he still holds, see above, Reg. CCVIII, f. 122) grants motu proprio to the cardinal (to whom, under the pope's said mandate, provision has been made of the said canonry and prebend, void by the above promotion and by the consecration of the said archbishop, which took place by the pope's order at the apostolic see) that the bishops of Worcester, Ross, and Spoleto may and shall make ad cautelam provision to him de novo, in accordance with the form of the said letters, if and as far as the said Thomas, elect, has any right, and if the canonry and prebend be void by his promotion and by his approaching consecration. 1419. 11 Kal. Jan. Florence. (f. 78d.)	To Roger, elect of Carlisle. Provision to him, rector of Burghclere in the diocese of Winchester, S.T.B., priest, of the said see, void by the death of William, during whose life it was specially reserved by the present pope. Diuina disponente.
	Concurrent letters to the chapter, to the clergy and to the people of the city and diocese, to the vassals of the church— Diuina etc.; to the archbishop of York—Ad cumulum; and to king Henry—Gracie diuine.
1420. Id. Feb. Florence. (f. 95.)	To the abbot of St. Congal's, Bangor, in the diocese of Down. Mandate to make provision to John Mackassyn, priest, canon of the Augustinian abbey of Moybily, in the said diocese (who lately, before he became a religious, received papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold a benefice even with cure), of the above abbey, value not exceeding 20 marks, void by the resignation of the late John Styil to the late John, bishop of Down. The above abbot is also to grant that John (who is hereby dispensed on account of his said illegitimacy) may be blessed by any catholic bishop in communion with the apostolic see, without prejudice to the bishop of Down. 5 Non. July. Florence. (f. 114d.)	To Edmund, bishop of Exeter. Translation from Hereford to the said see, void at the apostolic see, and therefore reserved by the death there of John. Before receiving possession of the administration of the goods of the see he is to take to the bishops of Winchester and Durham the oath of fealty according to the form which the pope is sending to them. Romani pontificis.

To the abbot of Balmurinoch in the diocese of St. Andrews, Mandate to receive from William de Oterburne his proposed resignation of the rectory of Dunotyr in the said diocese, and to collate and assign the same, value not exceeding 20l. sterling, to John de Balmyle, priest, of the same diocese. The abbot is to take care that there be no simony. Dignum etc. (Franciscus. xxiiii. Decimo nono Kal. Septembris Anno Tercio. de Agello.)
8 Id. Oct. St. Peter's, Rome. (f. 232d.)	To the bishop of Condom, Odo, precentor of Killaloe, and Thady Obrayn, canon of Leighlin. Mandate to collate and assign to Dermit Omaenachayn, clerk, of the diocese of Killaloe (who lately received papal dispensation, as the son of an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc., as above, f. 95, after which, having been tonsured, provision was by papal authority ordered to be made to him of the perpetual vicarage of Rosfynnglassy in the diocese of Kildare), the perpetual rural benefice called the rectory of Kenalarga in lay fee, in the diocese of Killaloe, which is of the patronage of laymen and is without cure, and whose value does not exceed 12 marks, so long void by the death of Maurice Oscula that its collation has by the Lateran statutes lapsed to the apostolic see; notwithstanding that provision has recently been ordered to be made to him of the above vicarage, value not exceeding 20 marks. He is hereby dispensed to receive and hold the said rural benefice, and to resign it and the said vicarage, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleases. Vite etc. (Ja. xxiiii. Septimo Kal.
