Appointing him papal nuncio and collector-general in England, with the usual faculties and powers, previous collectors and sub-collectors being recalled. He is to take the usual oath of fealty to Francis, archbishop of Narbonne, papal chamberlain, or to his locum tenens Lewis, bishop of Maguelonne. Ex fideli solicita et diligenti. (De curia.)

Appointing him, motu proprio and out of consideration for the archbishop of Canterbury, whose nephew he is, a papal notary, he being a student of canon law in the city of Bologna, and intending to engage in the service of the pope and the Roman church. He is to take the oath of fealty according to the form which the pope is sending to the bishop of Bologna or his vicar. Pii patris altissimi.
