He is hereby dispensed to hold for life Bunrathy with Cunky, if he obtain the latter under other letters which have been granted to him [above, f. 14], and to resign them, simply or for exchange. Mandate to collate and assign to Odo Ohogayn, precentor of Killaloe, who is a priest, is of noble race, has studied canon law for some time, and lately received papal dispensation, as the son of a priest and an unmarried woman, to be promoted etc., as above, f. 23, the rectory of Baleyncasleaynara in the diocese of Killaloe, of the patronage of laymen, value not exceeding 6 [cf. p. 267] marks, which became void and reserved by Execrabilis because the late Odo Ohogayn [see ibid.] obtained it by collation of the ordinary, when holding the precentorship of Killaloe, a dignity, and held both together for more than a month, and has been so long void that by the Lateran statutes its collation has lapsed to the apostolic see; notwithstanding that the pope recently ordered provision to be made to him of the deanery of Killaloe, a major elective dignity with cure, value not exceeding 12 marks, that he holds the said precentorship, and that he is illegitimate as above. He is hereby dispensed to hold together rectory and deanery for life, and to resign them, simply or for exchange. Upon obtaining the rectory he is, as he has offered, to resign the precentorship, as he is also bound to do upon obtaining the deanery. Vite etc. (Ja. xxviii. Decimo Kal. Mandate to collate and assign to John Mackathmeyl, clerk, of the diocese of Clogher—who says he is of a race of dukes, and who lately received papal dispensation, as the son of a bishop and an unmarried woman related in certain degrees of affinity, to be promoted to all, even holy orders and hold one, two, three or four compatible benefices with or without cure, and to resign them, simply or for exchange, as often as he pleased,—the rectory of Acchadlurcaire in the said diocese, value not exceeding 12 marks, void and therefore reserved by the death at the apostolic see of Odo Magecabaynd; whether it be void as stated, or because the late Paul Ocarbri and Maurice Maguyr, successively rectors thereof, obtained by collation of the ordinary, when holding it, the archdeaconry of Clogher, a dignity, or be void in any other way.
