Order of the Privy Council appointing Lord President Mandeville, Lords Paget, Chichester, and others, a Committee to resolve upon the well-settling of the colony of Virginia, and to give order for the government; to certify their proceedings to the King, and take further directions therein, His Majesty being resolved to renew a charter, with former privileges and amendment of previous imperfections. Order of the Privy Council for Mr. Ferrar, deputy for the late Company of Virginia, to bring to the Council chamber all the patents, books of accounts, and invoices, concerning the late corporation, and the lists of the people in that colony, to be retained by the Keeper of the Council chest till further order. June 26. 16. Petition of sundry Commissioners and Adventures of the Virginia Company to the Privy Council. Pray that Capt. John Bargrave's protection may not be renewed until some course shall have been taken for payment of his bond of 800l., due to them for a principal debt of 500l.
