For the entry of a noli prosequi to the information against the “Expedition” sloop, Swift Kirby, master and owner, seized by William Scott, Assistant to the Surveyor of the Act of Navigation, on pretence that a French passenger brought over came as a mariner, and had been employed to work the said sloop.

Martyn Duxbury, a prisoner in Wood Street Compter, praying to be discharged of a fine of 500l. upon a judgement obtained in the Exchequer Court against him for frauds committed when a Deputy King's Waiter, he being then a young unexperienced officer, and now utterly unable to pay the fine. Mar. 4 Warrant from the Lords of the. Treasury to Reeve Paynton, Esq., His Majesty's Receiver General of the Land Revenues for South Wales. For the payment out of these revenues to John Lewis, Thomas Lewis, and John David, 80l. in lieu of 80l. paid by them to the sheriff for the penalties on certain recognizances estreated for not traversing an indictment for locking up a passage over a bridge, and which cannot be restored by the sheriff, his accounts being closed.
