Further as to the several bills which were antedated in the said account it appears that the same was ordered by the late Commissioners [of the Victualling] for the better accomodating the service of the Victualling with respect to the application of the several tallies and Exchequer Bills then in the said Cashier's hands and that the said bills were made forth by orders from the Navy Board for moneys bona fide due to the creditors of the Victualling and that the same were actually satisfied by the Cashier. The said antedated bills are therefore to be passed in the ledger in order that objection to them should no longer delay the declaring of said Papillon's accounts.
