June 5. Royal warrant dormant dated St. James's to Treasurer Godolphin to pay to Thomas, Earl of Pembroke and Montgomery, Lord President of the Council, the pension of 2,500l. per an. as follows (which pension the Queen some time since granted him in consideration of his many good, faithful and acceptable services to Wm. III. and to herself) viz. by 1,500l. a year out of the Profits and Perquisites of the Admiralty and 1,000l. a year out of Secret Service or entirely out of Secret Service for the Queen's life if the Perquisites of Admiralty for any reason should not suffice to satisfy the said 1,500l. per an. T. 38/737, p. 2.
