	Warrant by Treasurer Oxford to William Borret to pay 10l. to the widow of Daniel Rosingrave and 15l. to Walter Bunbury as in full of the allowance reasonable to be made to the said Rosingrave for his service at any time up to his decease as being a witness for her Majesty against Thomas Kirby and others for the insurrection in Antigua and murther of Col. Park; the said Bunbury's part thereof being to satisfy the like sum meant to be paid [? by] him thereout by [? to] Gilbert Piper, Esq., to whom the said Rosingrave was indebted for the whole charge of his, Rosingrave's, subsistence from the time of his arrival here till the time of his death: and further [Borrett is hereby] to pay 10s. a week each for subsistence to George French and Richard Oglethorp, who are at present detained here as witnesses for her Majesty upon the same account, to wit until the last day of Easter term next, when the matter on which they are detained may come to be determined. Jan. 5.	William Lowndes to the Governor and Company of the Bank of England. Mr. Samuel Nelson has applied for the making of duplicates of five lost Exchequer Bills of numbers stated. The Attorney General is of opinion he is entitled to apply for same. Please certify whether you have paid any of the said Bills or if you have any objection to making out such duplicates. 	T. Harley to the Customs Commissioners to report on the enclosed petition [missing] of Peter Laroche praying that the place of Queen's waiter, London port, vacant by the death of his brother [in law], Daniel Crohare, may be given to said Crohare's eldest son. Ibid., p. 106.

	Royal warrant for letters patent under the privy seal of Scotland for passing the accounts of George Allardes, late Master of the Mint at Edinburgh, making allowances therein for divers small items not regularly vouched amounting to 175l. 13s. 5½d. and thereby leaving due to the representatives of the said Allardes 1,397l. 7s. 7 4/6d. The Queen hereby authorises payments of 50l, to James Clerk and Joseph
	Cave as joint engravers for their pains in making dies and puncheons during the late recoinage; 60l. to Robert Miller, Clerk of the Mint, for extraordinary attendance in the said re-coinage; 60l. to James Penman, present Assaymaster, and to the executors of John Borthwick, late Assaymaster, for the like and to be proportionately divided between them; 30l. to the representatives of said Allardes for the charge of passing his accounts. “And whereas before any provision was made for defraying the charge and expense of her Majesty's said [Edinburgh] Mint after the Union, she did direct that what moneys remained in the hands of the collectors of the Bullion Fund due before the Union should be applied for the uses of her said Mint, and being informed by the Barons of the Exchequer, Scotland, that out of the said Fund the charges of the said Mint was accordingly paid to the 1st day of Feb. 1709–10 and that by an Act [7 Anne, c. 24] made in the seventh year of her Majesty's reign for continuing the Coinage Duties [of 18–19 Car. II, c. 5] and for making provision for the Mint in Scotland, the said Coinage Duties were to commence from the 1st day of March 1708 and that a sum not exceeding 1,200l. should and might be issued yearly during the continuance of the said Duties for the use of the Mint in Scotland, which hath accordingly been issued and paid to John Montgomerie, Master of our said Mint there,” her Majesty doth therefore hereby authorise the Barons of the Exchequer, Scotland, to issue their warrants or precepts on the said Montgomerie to pay to the representatives of the said Allardes such sum as shall appear to have been taken out of the said Bullion Fund towards the service of the said Mint within the time provided for by the said Act of Coinage and in case the same shall prove deficient then to pay the balance out of any moneys at her royal disposal for Civil Affairs in Scotland, Ibid.
