Treasury warrant to the Clerk of the Pipe for a lease to Edmund Barstow of the grange, tenement or hereditament called Woodhouse Grange in Woodhouse, Co. Yorks, sometime parcel of the late Priory of Kirkham, which by indenture dated 1699–1700 March 4 was demised to Thomas Beckwith of Lamb Hill, Co. Yorks, by the Master and Perpetual Chaplains of the Hospital of the Savoy.

Royal warrant dated St. James's to Charles, Lord Cornwallis, and James Craggs, Postmaster General, to give allowance to George Bugby, Postmaster at Lincoln, and Frances his wife of 121l. 12s. 1d. in their account, on condition of their paying 50l., being the remainder of their debt of 171l. 12s. 1d. to the Crown: the said Postmasters General having reported on the petition of the said George and Frances and having therein proposed to allow 13l. a year for work added to that [Post] stage and 18 pence a week for two years for keeping a foot-post between Lincoln and Wragby: which allowances (after crediting them with all the money received upon the extent taken out against them) leaves the said arrear of 171l. 12s. 1d., of which the Postmasters General advise the remission of 121l. 12s. 1d. in view of the meanness of the petitioners’ circumstances and the little hope of recovering any part of the arrear. Treasury reference to the Taxes Commissioners of the petition of William Pulline, Surveyor of the Duties on Houses for the town of Newcastle, the county of Northumberland and “isle and shire and the town of Berwick” shewing that before he was employed in that district there were two officers employed therein at 50l. per an. each and that his salary is but 60l. per an.; that he has detected many abominable abuses and is at vast charge in riding so large a district, being obliged to keep two horses, so that most part of his salary is sunk in travelling charges, and that he is not able to do this business without the help of his son. Treasury warrant to the Surveyor General of Crown Lands for a particular of the passage over the river of Thames called Richmond Ferry and the profits and advantages thereto belonging, in order to a further lease thereof to Katherine Windham.
Prefixing: said Surveyor General's report on said Katherine Windham's petition for same. The premises were granted 1689 Oct. 12 to Lady Mary Ashe for 28 years from the death of Katherine, late Queen Dowager, under the yearly rent of 3l. 13s. 4d.; which term expires in Jan. 1733–4. Treasury reference to the Customs Commissioners of the petition of Henry Martin, Esq., Inspector General of Exports and Imports, praying allowance of 25l. each for half a year to nine clerks which he has been obliged to employ (beyond the constant clerks in his office) in pursuance of an order from the Commissioners of Trade and Plantations “and to be allowed the same proportion for as many clerks as the Commissioners of Customs shall think fit for the performance of the said order.” Reference Book IX, p. 251.

Royal warrant dated St. James's to the Writer to the Privy Seal of Scotland for a privy seal (under the said privy seal of Scotland) for a pension of 200l. per an. to William Mure, junr., of Caldwell, advocate, his heirs and assigns, at [as from] 1713 Whitsunday; to be payable out of the first and readiest of our Few Duties, Blanch Duties and other rents, duties, customs and casualties whatsoever as well not named as named whether consisting in beer, meal, oats and other grains, silver, rent and duty or otherways due and payable to us as Superior of the Earldom of Ross and Lordship of Ardm anno ck and others thereto belonging lying within the sheriffdoms of Ross and Cromarty: and George Mackenzie of Inscultor, late collector [of the premises, and all other] the King's Chamberlains, Collectors &c. of the said Earldom and Lordship are hereby readily to answer and pay the said pension.
