Keeping Places.
A MOTION made against leaving of Gloves, &c, for keeping of Places.
Supply.
Sir Ben. Rudyard moveth, the Consideration of Supply, and therein the Fall of Subsidies. - Rents generally improving sithence 1 Eliz. only that to the King falleth : Only the Nobility and Clergy hold. One Cause, the Multiplicity of Commissioners, who are the Assessors of themselves. - Certificates. - Moveth, the Search of former Schedules of Subsidy. - An Increase of the Rate of 4s. a Pound for Lands. An Increase of the Number of Subsidies. - Erecting some Forts, maintaining some Ships, for the Defence of the Kingdom, &c. at the Country's Charges.
Sir Geor. More: - To help the Fall of Subsidies, to give One Subsidy, and One Fifteen, more, payable after these Three now agreed upon.
