Apprentices, &c.

THE Bill touching Apprentices of Artificers, &c. brought in by Sir John Heigham from the Committee, and thought fit to sleep.

Married Men in Colleges.

A Bill against Heads of Colleges, brought in by Sir Tho. Freak from the Committee, with Amendments; and, upon the Question, to be ingrossed.

Religion.

Sir Rob. Wingfield justifieth the Proceeding of the Committee Yesterday.

Mr. Martin wisheth, that the Fault might be acknowledged, and Mercy shewed by the House.

Q. Whether the House be satisfied with Sir Rob. Leigh's Submission ?

Great Trouble and Confusion about this Question.

Called in again; and to expound his conditional Submission, and to speak it absolutely.

Sir Rob. acknowlegeth his Fault, and is discharged.

Conduct of Member at Conference.

Sir Maurice Berkley: - That some Message may be sent to the Lords, that Mr. Hare is cleared; and a Desire, that there might be no more Reprehension in Conference.

Mr. Recorder : - Wednesday a Meeting with the Lords: - That the Message might be delivered at the Conference there.

Mr. Martin: - That the Message might be delivered immediately, with all due Respect, and in the best Terms; not to stir, nor to exasperate their Lordships; but to right ourselves. -

Because at a Committee, therefore the Message must be at a Committee.

This Committee is to consider of all the Circumstances of a Message to be sent by the Commons House of Parliament to the Lords of the Upper House, touching a Question passed, for the Justification of Mr. Hare; and a further Desire from the said House, for the Forbearing hereafter of all Taxations and Reprehensions in Conferences.

Sir Tho. Darrell Knight, Burgess for the Town of Estretford, in the County of Nottingham, is licensed by the House to be absent, for some special Occasions nearly concerning him; with Commandment to return within Twenty Days, for the Service of the House.
