Message from the King - House to sit.

A Message from his Majesty, by Mr. Speaker; That his Pleasure is, that we should sit To-morrow, and Saturday, and begin again upon Monday, as he hath already sent the like Message to the Lords.

Message to the King for a Recess.

All the Privy Council of the House sent to the King, to acquaint him, that, in respect of our Order Yesterday, appointing the Calling of the House upon Thursday in Easter Week, which implied a Recess before, and his Majesty's Pleasure therein not known till now, so many gone down, and the House so thin, as the House desireth, there may, with his gracious Favour, be a Recess, till Thursday Morning in Easter Week.

Billetting Soldiers.

Sir W. Earle reporteth from the Committee, appointed to examine the Offence of Mowden the Constable of Kingston. - That he, and the Soldiers, agreed to go to Rygate, to levy the Money Arrear upon the Hundred. 8 l. 12s. from Mr. Copley at Gatton. -

He produced, for this, a Warrant under the Lord Lieutenant's Hand, directed to the Bailiffs, that, if any refused, there should be Soldiers billetted upon them. He had no Warrant from the Bailiffs: Who carried themselves well. -

Jo. Scott, Petty Constable of Rygate, conducted them from Rygate to Gatton, at the Request (as he said) of Two Lieutenants, that went with the Soldiers.

This Committee hath Power to send for any Parties, Witnesses, Warrants, &c. And, because no Opinion now delivered from the Committee, re-committed, for that Purpose, to them.

Bromfeild, &c. Tenants.

Mr. Whitby reporteth the Bill of Bromfeild and Yale, without any Alterations. Ordered, This Bill to be read, for Passage, To-morrow sevennight.
