Vilet's Estate.

A BILL to vest divers Lands of George Vilet, Esquire, deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, to raise Portions for his Daughters, was presented to the House: And the Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read the Second time.

Bigg's Estate.

A Bill to vest divers Messuages and Tenements in St. Gyles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex, the Estate of David Bigg, Esquire, in Trustees, to be sold, and for laying out the Money to be raised thereby in the Purchase of Lands to be settled to the same Uses, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Hutchinson, Mr. Bowyer, Mr. Slater, Mr. Lascells, Sir Edmund Jennings, Lord Castleton, Mr. Burdett, Mr. Blowfeild, Sir Gilbert Clerke, Sir Rob. Nappier, Mr. Christy, Mr. Glemham, Mr. Jennings, Mr. England, Mr. Wallis, Mr. Willmot, Sir Tho. Darcy, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Bull, Mr. Thornhaugh, Sir Matth. Andrews, Sir Wm. Whitlock, Sir Humph. Forster, and all the Members that serve for the Counties of Middlesex, Berks, Bucks, and Oxon: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Preventing Fires at Marlbrough.

A Bill for the better Preventing of Fires in the Town of Marlbrough in the County of Wilts, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Christy, Sir Geo. Willoughby, Mr. Gray, Sir Matth. Andrewes, Mr. Pitts, Sir Cha. Windham, Mr. Hawtry, Mr. Perry, Mr. Willmot, Mr. Etterick, Mr. Blowfeild, Sir Cha. Bloys, Mr. Freeman, Mr. Bedding feild, Sir Tho. Darcy, Mr. Piggot, Mr. Solicitor General, and all the Members that serve for the County of Wilts: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Supply Bill; Land Tax.

Mr. Attorney General presented to the House a Bill for raising One hundred Thirty-seven thousand Six hundred Forty-one Pounds Eighteen Shillings and Two-pence per mensem for Twelve Months: And the Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read the Second time.

Ways and Means.

Then the House resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supplies to be granted to their Majesties.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Solicitor General took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Solicitor General reports from the said Committee, That they had agreed upon a Resolution: Which they had directed him to report to the House: And which he read in his Place; and afterwards, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was read; and is as followeth; viz.

Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee, That, upon all Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, already excised, there be laid an additional Duty of as much as the same are now charged at, for One Year, to commence from the Tenth Day of November 1690.

The said Resolution being read a Second time;

Resolved, That this House do the agree with the Committee in the said Resolution, That, upon all Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, already excised, there be laid an additional Duty of as much as the same are now charged at, for One Year, to commence from the Tenth Day of November 1690.

Ordered, That a Bill be brought in according to the said Resolution: And it is recommended to Mr. Attorney General and Mr. Solicitor General, to prepare and bring in the same.

Mr. Solicitor General also acquainted the House, That he was directed by the Committee to move the House, That they may have Leave to sit again To-morrow Morning.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supplies to be granted to their Majesties.

Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
