Prayers.

Abuses in the Mint.

ORDERED, That the Quorum of the Committee appointed to inspect the Mint be Four.

Mitchell Election.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, touching the Election for the Borough of Mitchell, in the County of Cornwall, be made upon Saturday Morning next.

Preservation of Timber.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for the better Preservation and Increase of Timber: And that Sir Rowland Gwynn and Mr. Colt do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.

Regulating Elections.

A Petition of the Mayor, Aldermen, Common-Council, and Freemen, of the Borough of Plymouth, and other Inhabitants, was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, That they are informed there is a Bill depending in the House for the further regulating Elections of Members to serve in Parliament; which is to exclude all Cities and Boroughs from electing Members whose Estates in Lands are not 200£. per Ann.: That the said Borough chiefly subsists by Trade, and may never send One of their own Inhabitants, who knows their Circumstances, though wise, and greatly rich in a personal Estate; and so must choose a Stranger to represent them, who knows not their Occasions; which is to restrain the Liberties of the Subject: And praying, That the said Bill may not pass, so as to prejudice the ancient Rights of the said Borough.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee of the whole House, to whom the said Bill is committed.

Commissioners of Account.

The Lord Spencer, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for examining, taking, and stating, the publick Accounts of the Kingdom, to commence from the Expiration of the present Commission: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time, upon Saturday Morning next.

Supply; Deficiencies of Funds.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for making good the Deficiencies of Parliamentary Funds.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had made a further Progress in the Matter to to them referred; and had come to several Resolutions; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the Report be made To-morrow Morning.

Sir Thomas Littleton also acquainted the House, That he was directed by the said Committee to move the House, That they may have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Saturday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for making good the Deficiencies of Parliamentary Funds.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
