PRAYERS.

Church Rates.

MR. Brewer, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for the more effectual Raising and Recovery of Rates for the Repair of Churches: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Bankrupts Estates.

Sir Henry Ashurst, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for better Discovery of Bankrupts Estates: And the same was received.

Ordered, That the Bill be read To-morrow Morning.

Elections—incapacitating Persons refusing Oaths.

Mr. Gerrard, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill to disable all Persons from voting in Election of Members to serve in Parliament, who shall refuse to take the Oaths to the Government: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time upon this Day Sevennight, at Eleven a Clock.

Earthen-ware.

Ordered, That the Committee, to whom the Bill for the more effectual prohibiting the Importation of Earthenware is committed, have Liberty to fit in a Morning, before the Sitting of the House.

Supply Bill; Land Tax.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for granting to his Majesty an Aid of Four Shillings in the Pound, for One Year, for carrying on the War against France with Vigour.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had directed him to acquaiut the House, That they had made a considerable Progress in the Bill; but, in regard the Commissioners Names were not as yet referred to them, they could not proceed upon that Part of the Bill without the Lists of the Commissioners.

Whereupon the Titles of the several Lists of Commissioners presented to the House were read.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said several Lists of Commissioners Names be referred to the Committee of the whole House, to whom the said Bill is committed.

Sir Thomas Littleton also acquainted the House, That he was directed by the said Committee to move, That they may have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That the House do immediately resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the said Bill.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Tho. Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had made a further Progress in the Bill; and had directed him to move, that they may have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Saturday Morning next, at Eleven a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee, of the whole House, to consider further of the said Bill.
