PRAYERS.

Removal of Capuchins.

ORDERED, That it be referred to the Committee for Removal of the Capuchins, to deliver such of the Goods as are there, which the French Agent claims to belong to the French King, to him; and such as belong to the Capuchins, to the Friars; to be carried over with them. These Goods to be delivered to the respective Parties by inventory.

It is further Ordered, That the Sheriffs of London, in whose Custody the Capuchins now are, shall not send them away, until this House take further Order.

Delinquents Rents.

Ordered, That the Papists Rents shall be comprehended within the Order, that gives Notice to the Tenants, not to pay any Rents to certain notorious Delinquents, mentioned in an Ordinance for Sequestring the Rents and Profits of certain notorious Delinquents.

Loan from the City.

Ordered, That Sir Rob. Harley, Sir Martin Lumley, do repair to the Court of Aldermen, and desire, from this House, that the Aldermen in their several Wards would advance the Loan of two Months Pay of the weekly Assessments, forthwith, for the present and urgent Affairs of the Army.

Surry Assessments, &c.

The Copy of a Warrant, under the Hand of my Lord General, to the High Constables, and other the chief Officers, within the Middle Division of the County, requiring and commanding them, and every of them, to raise from the several Inhabitants within that Middle Division, by way of Assessment, the Sum of one Thousand Pounds, towards the Pay of Sir Henry Cholmeleye's Regiment; and a Warrant under the Hands of the Lieutenant Colonel, and Serjeant Major of that Regiment, to the Constables of several Hundreds and Parishes, in pursuance of the said Warrant; were all read.

Resolved, That Mr. Pym and Sir Jo. Clotworthy do write a Letter to my Lord General, to represent unto his Excellency the Complaint made by the Gentlemen of Surry, concerning Warrants directed to the Middle Division of Surry, for the raising of a Thousand Pounds; and to acknowledge his Care in keeping the Army together, notwithstanding the great Difficulties and Wants, that press it: And that some of the Gentlemen of Surry do attend my Lord General upon this Occasion.

Resolved, Sir Ambrose Browne, and Mr. Drake be enjoined forthwith to go down into the County of Surrey, to put into a speedy Execution the Ordinances for a weekly Assessment, and the Ordinance for the seizing of the Estates of notorious Delinquents; and that Sir Rich. Onslowe be desired to go down into the said County, to advance the same Service.

Persons sent for.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Wm. Wiseman, of Essex, shall be forthwith sent for, as a Delinquent, for not appearing upon an Order of Summons from the Committee for Examinations.

Watforde Petition.

Ordered, That the humble Petition of the Parishioners of Watforde, in the County of Hertford, and of Rob. Nicolls, Jo. Nicolls, and Wm. Fielde, shall be referred to the Committee of Examinations; who are to consider of the same, and report their Opinions unto this House; and have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Writings, and Records.

Surry Assessment.

Ordered, That the Committees, that are to go into Surry, concerning the weekly Assessment, do put in Execution the Propositions in those Parts in Surry, which have not yet contributed.

Farthing Tokens, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee concerning the Farthing Tokens do make a Report, To-morrow Morning, of that Business: And that at the same time a Report be made concerning the Prince Elector.

Ordered, That Mr. Hill do go to the Rolls, and take a View of the Patent concerning the Farthing Tokens: And the Committee for That Business is to examine, what Profits has been raised by the Farthing Tokens, and to whose Hands the same are come; and to consider of the Alnage Business, and report it likewise to this House.

Persons to be examined.

Ordered, That the Deputy Lieutenants for Essex do examine the Gentlemen of that County, that were sent for, and are come up, for neglecting to send in their Horses at Musters; and to report the same unto this House.

Prince Elector.

Resolved, upon the Question, that Three thousand Pounds shall be assigned to the Prince Elector, out of the King's Revenue, next after the Monies be paid to the King's Children.

Delinquents Goods.

Ordered, That the Committee, for seizing the Goods and Plate of Delinquents, shall have Power (any Three of them) to put in Execution that Order; to require the Assistance of Officers, and all others his Majesty's loving Subjects: And that Mr. Strode be added to this Committee.

Starchmakers.

Ordered, That Thomas Brightwell, Rich. Waring, and Tho. Stock, of London, Grocers, do pay the Sum of Eight hundred and Forty-two Pounds, remaining in their Hands (being Part of an Arrear of Rent) due from the late Corporation of Starch-makers unto Mr. Trenchard, a Member of this House; to be disposed of, as the House shall appoint.

Langham's Currans.

Ordered, That Mr. Pym shall have Liberty to move the House in the Business concerning Sheriff Langham's Currans, notwithstanding any Order made in that Business.
