PRAYERS.

Army Accompts.

ORDERED, That Mr. Collins, the Auditor, do audit and perfect the Accompts of the Ten thousand Pounds assigned to Sir Wm. Waller by former Ordinance; and return Certificate thereof to the Committee at Haberdashers Hall: And, out of such Monies as shall appear to be in Arrear, that Fifteen hundred Pounds, be forthwith paid to the Committee of the Militia, for so much borrowed of them by Sir Wm. Waller; and Two hundred Pounds, to several Persons of Bristoll, for so much borrowed of them; and the remainder to Mr. Trenchard, to discharge the Engagements of Sir Arth. Hesilrig, for Arms, other Provisions, for his Regiment: And that such Members of the House as have had any thing to do with these Monies, be enjoined to bring in their Accompts, to be audited and perfected by Auditor Collins.

Ordnance Stores.

Ordered, That the Indentures for Delivery out of any Stores, out of the Office of Ordnance, shall be hereafter made between Sir Walt. Erle Knight, Lieutenant General of the Ordnance, and such Persons unto whom any such Stores shall be delivered.

Intercepted Letter.

Mr. Whittacre presents from the Committee, a Letter intercepted, from those that term themselves, The supreme Council of the Confederate Catholicks of Ireland, of February Eighteenth, to Monsieur the Cardinal Mazarini, concerning the levying of Two thousand Foot, besides Officers, in the Kingdom of Ireland, for the French King's Service: And

It is Ordered, That these incercepted Letters and Passes be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of both Kingdoms, to do with them as they shall think fitting.

East India Company.

Upon the humble Petition of the Governor and Company of Merchants of London trading into the East Indies;

It is Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Customs do permit and suffer the said Company, in the Four Ships now ready to sail for the East Indies; viz. the Crispiana, John, William, and Blessing, to transport foreign Coin, and foreign Bullion of Silver, to the Value of Sixty thousand Pounds, which they themselves have caused to be brought from foreign Parts.

Lord Roberts.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for my Lord General's List, to go to my Lord General; and, from this House, to recommend my Lord Roberts unto him, to take him into his Consideration for some Place of Honour in the Army.

List of Officers.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed for my Lord General's List, do meet this Afternoon, and consider of the List of the Officers of Horse of my Lord General's Army; and confer and advise with my Lord General about it; and, upon Advice and Conference with my Lord General, to present the List to the House with all Speed: And likewise, to consider of the General Officers, the Officers of my Lord General's Train, and the Train of Artillery, and advise with my Lord General concerning them all; and present a Report of the Whole to the House, with all convenient Speed.

Message to Lords.

Sir Tho. Barrington carried up to the Lords, the Ordinance concerning the Lord General's Army: And was to desire the Lords to expedite the Ordinance concerning the Weekly . . . . .; and concerning Salt Petre.

Uxbridge Garison, &c.

The House being informed, that the Sheriffs and divers other Citizens of London were at the Door; who desired they might have Liberty to communicate something to the House;

They were called in: And Mr. Alderman Fowlke, in the Name of the rest, acquainted the House, that the Occasion of their coming at this Time, was upon the Occasion of two Ordinances passed both Houses concerning the County of Middlesex, the one in July last, the other in February; the which latter interferes with the former; and doth thereby cause divers Inconveniencies. They desire both Houses would declare their own Opinions concerning them.

They presented both the Ordinances: And

It is Resolved, &c. That these Ordinances be committed to a Committee, upon the whole Business of Difference that is informed to be between them, the one clashing upon the other.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee shall meet upon this Business this Afternoon, at Two post Meridiem, in the Exchequer Court, and bring in their Report on Saturday Morning: And that, in the mean time, the Proceedings of the Committee of Middlesex, upon the Payment of the Inhabitants of Middlesex, within the Line of Communication, towards the Garison of Uxbridge, be suspended.

The Committee is as followeth; viz.

Sir H. Heyman, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Cage, Sir Tho. Dacres, Mr. Wheeler, Sir Tho. Cheeke, Mr. Oldisworth, Sir H. Vane jun. Sir Jo. Francklyn, Sir Wm. Allanson, Sir Jo. Curson, Mr. Whittacres, Sir Walt. Erle, Sir Dud. North, Sir Simonds D' Ewes, Mr. Stephens, Sir Tho. Soame, Sir Wm. Masham, Sir Peter Wentworth, Mr. Ellis, Mr. Cecil, Mr. Lieutenant of the Tower.

Sir Tho. Barrington brings Answer, That the Lords will send Answer to all the Messages carried up by him, by Messengers of their own.

Business deferred.

Ordered, That the Paper delivered Yesterday at a Conference with the Lords, be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning, the first Business peremptorily.

Message to Lords.

Mr. Wheeler went up to the Lords, to desire them to expedite the Ordinances for opening the Trade of Coals to Sunderland and Blythe; and the Ordinance concerning the Customs.

Raising Forces.

Ordered, That the Committee of the associated Counties of Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, &c. do meet To-morrow in the Afternoon, and consider of raising of Forces, by an equal Proportion, in the said associated Counties.

Answer from Lords.

Mr. Wheeler brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Ordinance for opening the Trade to Blythe and Sunderland for Coals; and will take the Ordinance concerning the Customs, into speedy Consideration.

Exchange of Prisoners.

Ordered, That the humble Petition of the Committees of Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester, be referred to the Consideration of my Lord General: And it is referred, in especial, to the Care of my Lord Grey, to recommend unto my Lord General the Exchange of Captain F. Hacker, mentioned in the said Petition, and of Mr. Staveley, both Members of the Committee at Leicester, now Prisoners at Belvoir Castle; and to use his Endeavour for the speedy Release of the said Gentlemen, by way of Exchange.

Message from Lords.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Rob. Riche and Mr. Page;

The Lords have returned the Ordinance they received from this House, concerning a Weekly Meal; with some Alterations; and do consent unto it, with those Amendments.

The Lords do likewise assent, that the Earl of Arundell and the Lord Cravon shall be assessed, according as is desired.

Ordered, That the Lords Amendments to the said Ordinance be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.
