Prayers.
Ordered, That Robert Cecill Esquire, a Member of this House, shall have and hold the Custody and Keeping of the Lodge in Theobald's-Park in the County of Hertford, late in the Possession of Sir Patrick Murray Knight, deceased, together with the Pension of Fourscore and Ten Pounds per Annum, formerly granted to, received and enjoyed by the said Sir Patrick Murray, by reason of the said Place: And that a Grant accordingly do pass under the Great Seal of England.

Mr. Swinfen reports, from the Committee, the Names of several Persons to be appointed Sheriffs in divers of the Counties of this Kingdom: And
It is thereupon Resolved, &c. That this House doth nominate and appoint Thomas Blosse Esquire to be Sheriff of the County of Suffolke: And that the Commissioners for the Great Seal of England do issue a Commission to him to be Sheriff of the said County accordingly.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth nominate and appoint Sir John Henden Knight to be Sheriff of the County of Kent: And that the Commissioners for the Great Seal of England do issue a Commission to him to be Sheriff of the said County accordingly.

Ordered, That the Ordinance concerning the Regulation of Oxon be read To-morrow Morning, the first Business.
Ordered, That the Committee appointed to consider of Nominating of High-Sheriffs for the several Counties do meet this Afternoon, and make further Report of the Sheriffs for the several Counties.
Ordered, That Mr. Swynfen do carry up the Names of such Persons as are passed the House to be High-Sheriffs of the several and respective Counties.
Ordered, That the Committee appointed to consider of the Sheriffs Accompts be revived: And that they do meet this Afternoon; and so de die in diem: And are to consider of all Expedients for the Ease of the Sheriffs upon the Passing of their Accompts: And are injoined to give the House an Account thereof with all convenient Speed.
Resolved, &c. That Rowland Hunt Esquire, appointed to be High-Sheriff of the County of Mountgomery, having a convenient Dwelling-House of his own near the said County, and no fit House therein, shall, notwithstanding his being Sheriff, have Leave to reside out of the said County of Mountgomery, during his Sheriffalty.

The humble Petition of Sir Matthew Boynton Knight and Baronet, late Sheriff of the County of York, was this Day read; and ordered to be referred to the Committee formerly appointed to consider of the passing Sheriffs Accompts.
Ordered, That the humble Petition of Henry Beke Esquire, High-Sheriff of the County of Buck', formerly referred to the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland, be now referred to the Committee of the Three Counties of Oxon, Bucks, and Berks: Who are to consider of the Petitioner's Relief; and to report the same to the House.
Ordered, That the Business of the Army be taken into Consideration, the first Business, To-morrow Morning; notwithstanding any former or other Order for any other Business to the contrary.
Ordered, That it be especially recommended, from this House, to the Committee of Accompts, to state and certify the Accompts of the Strangers, Officers of the Brigade late under the Command of Colonel Massy, in the first place, before they proceed in the Accompts of any other Officers referred to them: And that the Accompts of the rest of the Officers of the said Brigade have their Accompts stated and certified, in Course.
A Letter from Dublyn, of 24 Novembris 1646, from Sir John Clotworthy, directed to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland; a Letter from Mr. Salwey, of the same Date, to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland; the Copies of Two Letters from the Marquis of Ormond, one of the Twentyfourth of October 1646, another of 29. Octobris, directed, as was informed, to the Scotts Forces in Ulster; and their Answer to them; and likewise a Letter from Mr. Salwey, of the Date of 24 Novembris, directed to Mr. Salwey his Father; were read all this Day: And
It is Ordered, upon the Question, That the Consideration of these Letters, and of the present State and condition of the Affairs of Ireland, as now they stand, be referred to the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland at Derby-House: And they are to take them into present Consideration; and to report their Opinions to the House with all Speed, what they think fit to be done in those Matters for the speedy and effectual Relief and Preservation of those Parts.
Ordered, That the Members of this House that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms, to whom it is referred to confer with the Commissioners of Scotland, about the Time, Place, and Manner of Payment of the Monies assigned for the Scotts Army, and of the Marching of their Forces out of the Kingdom, do give an Account to the House, To-morrow, what is done in that Business.
