Prayers.
Invalid Soldiers, &c.
MR. Trenchard reports from the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall, the State of the Business touching the Nine thousand One hundred Pounds, towards Satisfaction of the Accompts of Officers, and Officers Wives, and other Persons, according to such Lists as this House should approve of; and the Opinion of that Committee thereupon, That the Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall be ordered to pay the said Sum of Nine thousand One hundred Pounds to Mr. Pocock, Mr. Greenhill, and the rest of the Treasurers for maimed Soldiers, for the Uses expressed in the Order of the Fourth of April 1648: And that the Receipt of the said Treasurers, or any Two of them, may be a sufficient Discharge to the Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall.
Ordered, That the Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall be required to pay the said Sum of Nine thousand One hundred Pounds to Mr. Pocock, Mr. Greenhill, and the rest of the Treasurers for maimed Soldiers, for the Uses expressed in the Order of the Fourth of April 1648: and that the Receipt of the said Treasurers, or any Two of them, shall be a sufficient Discharge to the Treasurers at Goldsmiths Hall.
Deans and Chapters Lands.
An Act with further Instructions to the Trustees, Contractors, Treasurers, and Register, for Sale of the Lands and Possessions of the late Deans, Subdeans, Deans and Chapters, &c. and for the better and more speedy Execution of the former Acts, Ordinances, and Instructions made concerning the same, was this Day read the Third time.
And the Question being put, That the Words "Two first Six Months," in the Clause in the Act for Payment of the Two first Six Months Interest, out of the Excise, do stand in the Bill;
It passed with the Negative.
The Question being put, That the whole Clause, or Second Instruction, in the Bill, do stand in the Bill;
It passed with the Negative.
And the Bill, so amended, was, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be forthwith printed and published.
Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Mr. Attorney General have Leave for a Week to go to Bristoll.
Ald. Leman.
Resolved, &c. As to the Demand of the City of London, concerning Mr. Leman his Office of being Alderman, That Mr. Leman be left to give his own Answer.
