Prayers.
Courts of Justice.
AN Act for settling the Proceedings in Courts of Justice was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed, and ordered to be printed.
Ordered, That the Committee formerly appointed to prepare the said Act, for Settling the Proceedings in Courts of Justice, do forthwith send for Clerks and Officers; and give them Directions to prepare Precedents of several Natures, according to the said Act.
Leave to visit the King.
Ordered, That Dr. Juxon have Leave to go to, and continue with, the King in private, under the same Restraint that the King is.
Leave to visit the King.
Ordered, That the Duke of Gloucester, and the Lady Elizabeth, have Liberty to visit the King.
No King to be proclaimed.
An Act prohibiting Sheriffs, or any other Officer, or Person whatsoever, from presuming to proclaim any Person as King, without the free Consent of the People in Parliament, signified by Act or Ordinance for that Purpose, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to Mr. Martyn, Mr. Lysle, Mr. Love, Commissary General Ireton, Lieutenant General Crumwell, Mr. Corbett, Sir John Danvers, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Holland, Mr. Say, Mr. Blagrave, Mr. Challenour, Mr. Scott, Lord Grey, Colonel Jones, Mr. Blackiston, Colonel Walton, Mr. Garland; or any Five of them: And they are to meet on Monday Morning: And the Care hereof is more particularly recommended to Mr. Martyn.
Record of Judgement against the King.
Ordered, That the Clerk of the High Court of Justice be required forthwith to bring unto this House the Record of the Judgement this Day given against the King.
Ordinance to be prepared.
Ordered, That the same Committee do prepare an Ordinance upon the present Debate of the House; and bring it in on Monday Morning.
Members to attend.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do injoin the several Members of this House to attend the Service of the House, on Monday Morning next, at Eight of the Clock.
