Wednesday, the 27th January, 1657.

Fast Day.

THE House, according to former Order, kept this Day a Day of Humiliation, and Seeking of God for a Blessing upon the Endeavours of this House.

Ordered, That there be a Collection, of the Members of this House: And that Mr. Darnall, the ClerkAssistant, do attend near the Door, within the House, to receive the same, as the Members pass out.

Preachers thankes.

Resolved, That the Thanks of this House be given to Mr. Calamy, for the great Pains taken by him this Day in the House, in helping to carry on the Work of this Day of Fasting and Humiliation, with the Members in this House: And that he be desired to print his Sermon: And that he have the like Privilege in Printing thereof, as hath been formerly allowed in like Cases: And that Major Beake be desired to give him the Thanks of this House, accordingly.
