Prayers.

Commissioners of Assessment.

ORDERED, That Sir John Evelyn, Sir Richard Bettenson, Thomas Lee, Sackford Gonson, Samuel Highland, Lawrence Marshe, Benjamin Polsted, John Heyle Esquire, Henry Wilcocke, Nicholas Lempriere, Captain John Inwood, Lionel Rawlins, Major Wm. Hill, John Carleton of Wallington, Thomas Edwards, Robert Cranmer, be, and are hereby, appointed and added Commissioners for the Assessment for the County of Surrey: And that they, and every of them, be, and are hereby, impowered and authorized to sit and act as Commissioners for the Assessments, as fully, to all Intents and Purposes, as if they had been named in the Act intituled, An Act for an Assessment of One hundred thousand Pounds, by the Month, upon England, Scotland, and Ireland, for Six Months.

Ordered, That the Bailiffs for the Time being, Nathaniel Bacon, Francis Bacon, John Brandling, Esquires, Manuel Sorrell, Robert Duncan, Esquires, Jacob Caly Gentleman, be, and are hereby, appointed and added Commissioners, for the Assessments for the Town of Ipswich in the County of Suffolk: And that George Moody, John Clerke, Wm. Chaplyn, Esquires, and Jasper Shephard Gentleman, be, and are hereby, appointed and added Commissioners, for the Assessments for the Town of Bury St. Edmonds in the said County: And that the Mayor for the Time being, Joseph Bemond Gentleman, Francis Bacon Esquire, * Gale, and * Gates, Gent. be, and are hereby, appointed and added Commissioners for the Assessments for the Town of Hadleigh in the said County: And that Francis Morse, Francis Theobald, Robert Brownrig Esquires, Arthur Jegon, and Captain Denny, be, and are hereby appointed and added Commissioners for the said County of Suffolk: And that they, and every of them, be, and are hereby, impowered and authorized to sit and act as Commissioners for the Assessments for the respective Places aforesaid, as fully, to all Intents and Purposes, as if they had been named in the Act intituled, An Act for an Assessment of One hundred thousand Pounds, by the Month, upon England, Scotland, and Ireland, for Six Months.

Ordered, That Mr. Wm. Taylor, of Wilscott, alias Williamscott, be added a Commissioner for the Assessments in the County of Oxford; and that he be, and is hereby, impowered and authorized to sit and act as a Commissioner for the Assessment for the said County, as fully, to all Intents and Purposes, as if he had been named in the Act intituled, An Act for an Assessment of One hundred thousand Pounds, by the Month, upon England, Scotland, and Ireland, for Six Months.

Ordered, That George Withers, of Hall, Esquire, and George Withers, of Winchester, Esquire, be added Commissioners for the Assessments in the County of Southampton: And that they be, and are hereby, impowered and authorized to sit and act as Commissioners for the Assessments for the said County, as fully, to all Intents and Purposes, as if they had been named in the Act, intituled, An Act for an Assessment of One hundred thousand Pounds by the Month, upon England, Scotland, and Ireland, for Six Months.

Ordered, That Richard Wenman, Alderman of the City of Norwich, be added a Commissioner for the Assessments in the City of Norwich: And that he be, and is hereby, impowered and authorized to sit and act as a Commissioner for the Assessments for the said City, as fully, to all Intents and Purposes, as if he had been named in the Act, intituled, An Act for an Assessment of One hundred thousand Pounds, by the Month, upon England, Scotland, and Ireland, for Six Months.
