Prayers.

Worcester Clothiers.

A BILL for Confirmation of the Charter and Privileges of the Master, Warden, and Commonalty of Clothiers, in the City of Worcester, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be read again the Second time on Thursday next.

Clothing Trade.

Ordered, That the Committee of Trade do prepare and bring in a Bill to regulate the Clothing Trade.

Okeover's Estate.

Ordered, That a Bill to enable Rowland Okeover Esquire to sell certain Lands in the County of Derby, be read To-morrow Morning.

St. Martin's in the Fields.

Ordered, That the Petition of the Inhabitants of the Parish of St. Martin's in the Fields, be referred to the Committee that shall be appointed to consider of the Bill for Confirmation of private Acts.

Papers to be burnt by Hangman-Act for High Court of Justice.

A traiterous Writing, in Parchment, falsely intituled, An Act of the Commons, assembled in Parliament, for erecting an High Court of Justice for trying and judging Charles Stuart, (intending thereby that undoubted Saint and Martyr King Charles the First, of ever blessed Memory) being this Day, in part, read; the House expressed their great Indignation against, and Detestation of it; and of the horrid Consequences that ensued thereupon: And

Resolved, upon the Question, nemine contradicente, That the said traiterous cursed Writing, in Parchment, called, An Act of the Commons assembled in Parliament, for erecting an High Court of Justice for trying and judging Charles Stuart, be burned on Tuesday Morning, being the Twenty-eighth of May Instant, in Westminster Hall, by the Hand of the common Hangman: And the Sheriff of Middlesex is to take Order, that the Executioner do perform this Service: And the Serjeant at Arms attending this House is to see it done accordingly.

Act for Commonwealth.

A traiterous Writing, in Parchment, called, An Act declaring and constituting the People of England to be a Commonwealth, or free State, being this Day read;

Resolved, upon the Question, nemine contradicente, That the traiterous Writing, in Parchment, called, an Act declaring and constituting the People of England to be a Commonwealth, or free State, be burned, by the Hand of the common Hangman, To-morrow, being the Twenty-eighth of May Instant, at the Old Exchange in London, at full Exchange-time, between the Hours of Twelve and One of the Clock: And the Sheriffs of London are to take Order, that the Executioner do perform this Service: And the Serjeant at Arms attending this House is to see it done accordingly.

The Engagement.

A treasonable Parchment Writing, called, An Act for subscribing the Engagement, being begun to be read this Day;

Resolved, upon the Question, nemine contradicente, That the said treasonable Writing, called, An Act for subscribing the Engagement, be burned, To-morrow, at the Old Exchange, London, by the Hand of the Common Hangman, at full Exchange-time, between the Hours of Twelve and One of the Clock: And the Sheriffs of London are to take Order, that the Executioner do perform this Service: And the Serjeant at Arms attending this House is to see it done accordingly.

Renouncing Charles Stuart, &c.

Resolved, upon the Question, nemine contradicente, That a treasonable Parchment Writing, called, An Act for renouncing and disannulling the pretended Title of Charles Stuart, &c. be burned, in Westminster Hall, on Wednesday next, by the Hand of the common Hangman: And the Sheriff of Middlesex is to take Order, that the Executioner do perform this Service: And the Serjeant at Arms attending this House is to see it done accordingly.

Security of Protector.

Resolved, upon the Question, nemine contradicente, That a treasonable Parchment Writing, called, An Act for the Security of his Highness the Lord Protector his Person, and Continuance of the Nation in Peace and Safety, be burned, in Westminster Hall, on Wednesday next, by the Hand of the common Hangman: And the Sheriff of Middlesex is to take Order, that the Executioner do perform this Service: And the Serjeant at Arms attending this House is to see it done accordingly.

Preachers thanked.

Ordered, That the Thanks of this House be returned to Dr. Gunning, and Mr Carpenter, the Chaplain of this House, for their Pains in preaching and administering of the Communion Yesterday; and that they be desired to print their Sermons: And Mr. Speaker is desired to give them the Thanks of this House.

Browne's Estate.

A Bill of Sir Anthony Browne Knight, to enable him to sell Lands to pay his Debts, and make Provision for younger Children, being this Day read the Second time;

Resolved, upon the Question, That the said Bill be committed to Sir Edmund Peirce, Mr. Higgins, Sir Thomas Fanshaw, Sir Allen Apsley, Sir Ralph Bancks, Sir George Ryve, Sir Robert Atkins, Mr. Crouch, Sir Wm. Doyley, Mr. Sicklemore, Mr. Street, Mr. Flint, Sir Richard Malliverer, Sir George Evelyn, Sir Anthony Cope, Mr. Gawdye, Mr. Shawe, Mr. Randall Egerton, Sir Edward Seymor, Mr. Clarke, Sir Ralph Hare, Sir Henry Felton, Sir Henry North, Sir Edmond Pooley, Sir Charles Cornewallis, Sir John Rowse, Lord Vaughan, Lord Falkland, Lord Bruce, Sir Wm. Compton, Mr. Sandys, Sir John Goodricke, Sir Henry Wright, Mr. Goodricke, Sir Henry Newton, Sir John Talbot, Mr. Mumpesson, Sir Benjamine Ayliffe, Sir John Brampston, Sir Richard Wiseman, Mr. Devereux, and all other Members that serve for the County of Essex: And they are to meet this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber, at Two of the Clock: And to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses, or Records, as they shall find Cause.

Committee of Grievances.

Mr. Stewart making Report from the Committee of Grievances, that they had not, by the Order whereby they sat, any Power to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses, and Records;

Ordered, That the said Committee for Grievances have Power to send for Persons, Papers, Witnesses, and Records, as they shall think fit: And that the Committees for Religion and Trade have the like Power.

Ordered, That the Chairman for the Committee of Grievances to send an Order to Colonel Lewes Tremayne. to appear at the said Committee, on Wednesday the Twelfth of June next, to answer the Complaint against him, contained in a Petition remaining with the said Committee; and that he do send a Copy of the Petition with the said Order.

Public Revenue.

Ordered, That the Business touching his Sacred Majesty's Revenue, and his present Supply, be resumed and taken into Consideration, in the first Place, on Thursday next, in the Morning.

Scotch Affairs.

Ordered, That the Letter from the Estates of Parliament in Scotland be taken into Consideration on Thursday the Sixth of June next.

Great Level of Fens.

Ordered, That the Petition of Dame Abigael Stuart be referred to the Committee to whom the Two Bills concerning the great Level of the Fens do stand committed.

Ditto.

Ordered, That the Petition of the Inhabitants of Werehamstoake cum Wretton be referred to the Committee to whom the Two Bills concerning the great Level of the Fens do stand committed.

And then the House adjourned till Eight of the Clock To morrow Morning.
