Lord's Day.

ORDERED, That the Committee to whom the Bill for better Observation of the Lord's Day, and the Committee to whom the Bill against Pluralities, is referred, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon.

Didier's &c. Nat.

A Bill for Naturalization of Abraham Didier, and others, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday Morning.

Poor Relief.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee appointed to peruse the Act for Highways, and other Acts, to consider of the Act for Relief of the Poor of this Kingdom; and to see whether there be a sufficient Power therein for to charge a Tax for Relief of the Poor; and whether they find it fit to make any Additions or Amendments to the Bill; and make Report to the House, what Amendments or Additions they think fit to be made thereto.

London, &c. Streets.

Ordered, That the Bill for repairing the Streets and Highways in and about London and Westminster be referred to the Committee appointed to peruse the Bill for Highways, and other Bills: And that these Persons following be added to the Committee; viz. Ryve: And all the Members of this House, that come to the said Committee, are to have Voices thereat: And they are hereby impowered to make Sub-committees; and to report to the House such Amendments, Additions, or Explanations, as they shall think fit to be made to any of the Acts which are referred to their Consideration: And to expedite their Report upon the Act concerning Highways, and the Act for repairing the Streets and Highways in and about London and Westminster.

Relief of Loyalists.

Ordered, That the several Knights of the Shire, or in their Absence, the Burgesses, that serve for such Counties as have not made Return of the Monies which are by Act of the last Session of Parliament, to be distributed amongst the indigent loyal Officers; and such Counties as have not returned a List of the Offices to be assessed by the said Act, for the said Officers further Supply; do write their Letters to the Sheriffs, and other Officers concerned, to quicken the Receipt and Return of the Monies; and also to speed the Return of the List of the Officers; and to make Report of their Proceedings therein to the House.

Loyalist Officers.

A Petition was this Day read, presented in the Name of the truly loyal and indigent Commission Officers, that have faithfully served the Royal Interest throughout the whole Course of the late Rebellion.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be appointed, to consider of the said Petition; and also the Act for distributing the Sixty thousand Pounds, and assessing Officers, for the loyal indigent Commission Officers; and to peruse the Certificates returned concerning the said Offices; and receive Information touching the same; and consider, whether there are any Officers admitted as indigent, which are not so; and whether any be allowed Offices in a higher Degree than they served; or whether any be allowed, which revolted from their Loyalty: Viz. Harbord, Mr. Barnaby, Mr. Westfaling, and all the Members of this House, that have been Commission Officers in the Service of his now Majesty, or his Royal Father: And they are to meet in the Star Chamber, on Saturday next, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon; and report their Proceedings and Opinions to the House.

Preventing Popery, &c.

A Bill to prevent the Growth of Popery, and Increase of the Number of Recusants, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Tuesday next.

Enfeild Chace Poor.

A Bill for Relief of the Poor of Enfeild Chace was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Saturday next.

Church Lands.

Ordered, That the Bill for apportioning Rents, and preventing concurrent Leases by Bishops and Clergymen, be read To-morrow Morning.

Ministers Maintenance.

Ordered, That the Bill for the Increase of the Maintenance of Ministers in Cities, Towns Corporate, and Market Towns, be read the First time To-morrow Morning.

Priests and Jesuits.

The House taking into Debate an Address proposed to be made to the King's Majesty, to issue a Proclamation to command all Priests and Jesuits, especially English, Scots, and Irish, to depart the Kingdom by a Day.

Ordered, That the further Debate of this Matter be adjourned till Tuesday next.

Morley's Estate.

Ordered, That Mr. Clifford, Sir Richard Onslow, Mr. Hollis, and Mr. Thurland, and all the Members of this House that serve for the Counties of Yorke, Lincolne, and Nottingham, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for vesting the Lands and Tenements of Cuthbert Morley, in Richard Barret, Catharine Chute, and Arthur Ingram, their Heirs and Assigns, till they have received certain Monies due to them, was committed.
