Prayers.

HESTER Gore did, this Day, take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, before Mr. Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in order to her Naturalization.

Privilege.

Upon Information, That one Symon Topham had arrested several Servants of the Lord St. John, upon Actions brought in the Name of Roger Beckwith Esquire, contrary to the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That all further Proceedings upon the Arrests and Actions brought against Edward Elleston, and other the Servants and Tenants of the Lord St. John, at the Suit of Roger Beckwith Esquire, be staid, during the Session of this present Parliament: And that it be referred to the Committee of Privileges, to examine the Matter of Breach of Privilege objected against Symon Topham, in arresting the Servants of the Lord St. John; and report the Matter to the House.

Seaverne Navigation.

A Bill for Making of certain Rivers navigable into the River Seaverne, and from thence into the River Thames, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Another Bill for making Rivers navigable into the River Seaverne, and from Seaverne into the Thames, and so to London, was also read the First time.

Impressing Seamen.

Ordered, That it be referred to Sir John Knight, Sir Robert Atkyns, Colonel Reames, Sir Edw. Walpoole, Mr. John Vaughan, Mr. Pryn, Sir Hen. Peckham, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir John Holland, Sir John Norton, or any Three of them, to peruse the former Laws concerning the Impressing of Seamen; and to bring in a Bill for the more effectual impressing of Seamen, by inflicting Punishments on such as shall refuse to serve, or shall run away after they have received their Press-Money.

Salt Marshes.

A Bill settling certain Marsh-lands lying near the Sea, was read the Second time.
