Prayers.

Christianus Harell did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy before the Speaker, at the Clerk's Table, in order to his Naturalization.

Rogues and Rioters.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for Discovery and Punishment of Rogues, that do make Riots, and do Mischief to Mens Houses, and Goods, and Cattles, in the Night: And that Mr. Clarke do bring in the Bill.

Midhurst Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do certify the Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of England of the Death of Sir John Lewkenor Knight of the Bath, who lately served as a Member of this House for the Borough of Midhurst in the County of Sussex: desiring him, that a Writ may issue forth, under the Great Seal, for a new Election of a Member to serve in this present Parliament, in his place and stead.

Dean of St. Paule's House.

An ingrossed Bill to enable the Dean of St. Paule's to make Leases, was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act to enable the Dean of St. Paule's to make Leases.

Regulating Elections.

A Bill to prevent Exorbitances and Abuses in electing of Members to serve in Parliament, was read the Second time.

Fees of Customs.

Ordered, That Sir Gilbert Gerrard and Mr. Harris be added to the Committee for the Business concerning the Out Ports.

Bridgwater Return amended.

The Clerk of the Crown, and the Mayor of the Town of Bridgwater, being called in; and the Return of Sir Francis Roll being produced; his Name was rased out; and the Name of Mr. Peregrine Palmer inserted in.

Extortion.

Ordered, That those which were ordered to prepare a Bill against Extortion, do meet this Afternoon; and expedite and bring in the Bill with what Speed they can.

Fees of Customs.

A Petition of the Inhabitants of Spaldin, with the Towns adjacent in the County of Lincolne, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Petition be referred to the same Committee to which the Matter concerning the Fees of the Out Ports was committed; to examine the Matter of the Petition; and report it, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Publick Accounts.

Ordered, That the further Consideration of the Report of the Commissioners for Accounts be adjourned till Friday Morning next, Ten of the Clock; nothing to intervene.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow, Two of the Clock in the Afternoon; except the Committee of Grievances and the Committee last appointed.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
