Prayers.

Defaulters to Call of the House.

ORDERED, That Sir Henry Wood, who made Default in Attendance at the Call of the House, and is still sick and not in a Condition to attend, be excused, and struck out of the List of Defaulters.

Paris Garden made Parish.

Ordered, That all the Members that serve for Kent, be added to the Committee to which the Bill for making the Manor of Paris Garden a Parish distinct from St. Saviour's Southwarke, was committed; and also these Members following; viz. * * * *.

Mosely's Estate.

A Bill to prevent the Forfeiture of the Estate of Edward Mosely an Infant, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Hall's Estate.

Ordered, That the Bill on the Behalf of Benedict Hall Esquire, be returned to the Lords, by Mr. Gray.

Privilege.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Privileges, in the Matter between Mr. Seymour and Mr. Nosworthy, be heard on Wednesday Morning next.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, in the Places formerly appointed.

Defaulters to Call of the House.

Ordered, That the Lord Cornbury, Sir John Dethick, and Sir Thomas Bludworth, Defaulters in Attendance upon the Call of the House, and now present, be excused, and struck out of the List of Defaulters.

Supply Bill; Subsidies.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Bill of Subsidies.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Seymour took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Conference; Malicious Maiming.

The House went up, to attend the Conference with the Lords, upon the Amendments to the Bill to prevent malicious Maiming and Wounding.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports from the Conference had with the Lords, upon the Amendments to the Bill to prevent malicious Maiming and Wounding, Wherein the Lords do agree, and Wherein they differ from the Amendments sent by this House; and the Reasons of their so doing:

And the latter Paper, sent from the Lords, relating to the said Amendments, were twice read; and debated.

1st Press, Line 24, 25, and 36. To the Second and Third Amendment, made by the Lords; to which the Commons do not agree; the Lords are not satisfied with the Reasons given by the House of Commons.

Resolved, That this House is not satisfied with the Reasons given by the House of Lords.

2d Press, 1. 48. To the Sixth Amendment, made by the Lords, for putting the 24th Day of June in the Year of our Lord God 1671.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with their Lordships:

To the Commons Amendment in the Eighth Line of their Lordships Amendment, for leaving out the Words "with Intention, in so doing, to maim or disfigure, in that especial manner, such his Majesty's Subject;" wherein their Lordships do not agree;

Resolved, &c. That this House is not satisfied with the Reasons given by the House of Lords.

Press 3. Line *. In the Seventh Amendment, the Lords do not agree to leave out the Words (after "Abettors,") "knowing of, and privy to the Offence, as aforesaid."

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with their Lordships.

Eighth Amendment.-To the leaving out the Clause in the Bill, from the Sixth Line of the Third Press, to the Word, "provided," in the Twenty-seventh Line; to which this House did not agree; the Lords are not satisfied with the Reasons given by the House of Commons.

Resolved, &c. That this House is not satisfied with the Reasons given by the House of Lords.

Resolved, &c. That a free Conference be desired with the Lords, upon the Subject Matter of the last Conference: And that Sir Thomas Lee do carry up this Message to the Lords.

Ordered, That the same Members who managed the last Conference, do manage this.

Light-houses in Ireland.

Resolved, &c. That the Report from the Committee of Grievances, concerning the Light Houses in Ireland, be made on Wednesday next, Ten of the Clock in the Morning.

Derby Election.

Ordered, That Mr. Vernon, who exhibited his Petition against Mr. Sacheverell, as to the Election of a Knight of the Shire for the County of Derby, have Leave to withdraw his Petition; and therefore the Witnesses of Mr. Sacheverel may forbear any further Attendance.

Privilege.

Ordered, That the Matter of Privilege between Mr. Digby and Mr. Cornwallis, appointed to be heard before the Committee of Privileges, this Afternoon, be adjourned till Tuesday Afternoon; to be then peremptorily heard, the first Cause.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
