Privilege.

ORDERED, That Edmond Hull, * Husband, and * Chandler, be sent for in the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms, or his Deputy, for the Breach of Privilege, objected against them, in arresting and detaining Edm. Kenwricke, Servant to Colonel Grcy, a Member of this House, after Demand of his Privilege.

Orders and Proceedings of the House.

Resolved, &c. That a Committee be appointed to search into the Journals of this House; and to inquire into the ancient Orders and Method of Proceedings in the House; and report it to the House, with their Opinions, how the same may be taken notice of, and effectually observed; viz. Col Kirby, Mr. Pryn, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Seymour, Sir Walter Young, Sir John Knight, Col. Sandys, Sir Tho. Gower, Mr. Vaughan, Sir Wm. Lewis, Sir Robert Carr, Sir Fran. Goodricke, Mr. Westphaling, Mr. Steward, Mr. Crouch, Sir Phill. Musgrave, Sir John Heath, Sir Soloman Swale, Lord Richardson, Mr. Dowdwell, Sir Jo. Northcott, Mr. Morrice, Sir Tho. Meeres; or any Three of them: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber; and to sit de die in diem.

Committees.

Resolved, &c. That all Committee, which were discontinued, be revived; and to sit this Afternoon, in the Places formerly appointed.

Business depending.

Ordered, That the Committee formerly appointed to inquire, what Business is depending in the House, be revived; and that they do report it to the House, what Business is still depending, either by Bill or Petition; and what is most necessary to be first dispatched: And that the Members following be added to the Committee; Colonel Sandys, Sir Courtney Poole, Mr. Crouch, Sir Tho. Gower, Sir Fran. Goodricke, Sir Cha. Harbord, Sir Tho. Clergis, Mr. Weld, Sir Wm. Young, Sir Anthony Irby, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir Jo. Knight, Mr. Steward, Mr. Edw. Seymour, Sir Wm. Killigrew, Sir Robert Carre, Sir Jo. Bennett, Sir Jo. Northcott, Mr. Buscowen, Sir Jona. Trelawney, Mr. Morrice, Sir George Reeve.

Address for enforcing Church Government.

Resolved, &c. That his Majesty be humbly desired to issue his Proclamation, to enforce Obedience to the Laws in Force, concerning Religion and Church Government, as it is now established, according to the Act of Uniformity: And such Members of this House, as are of his Majesty's Privy Council, are to attend his Majesty with this Address.

Miscarriages of the War.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed to inquire into the Miscarriages touching the late War, do positively make Report of the Examinations by them taken, and other their Proceedings, on Friday next; and do sit de die in diem in the mean time.

Hearthmoney Collectors.

A Petition of Tobias Humfreys, Richard Prichard, Wm. Moody, Tho. Driver, and Wm. Robinson, was tendered to the House.

Ordered, That the Petition be referred to the Committee appointed to examine Miscarriages in collecting the Duty arising by Hearth-money; to examine the Truth of the Petition; and to report it, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Message to attend the King.

A Message from the King, by Sir. Jo. Eyton, Usher of the Black Rod;

Mr. Speaker,

His Majesty commands this House to attend him forthwith in the House of Peers.

And accordingly Mr. Speaker went up, with the House, to attend his Majesty.

The King's Speech reported.

Mr. Speaker reports, that his Majesty, to prevent Mistakes, hath been pleased to deliver his Speech in Writing: Which he read to the House.

Resolved, &c. That the Matter of his Majesty's Speech be taken into Consideration on Friday next, the first Business after the Report from the Committee appointed to inquire into the Miscarriages of the late War.

Committee of Privileges.

Ordered, That Sir Wm. Morgan be added to the Committee of Privileges and Elections.
