Prayers.

Scoppens', &c. Nat.

MR. Papillon reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for naturalizing John Scoppens, and others, was committed, some Amendments agreed by the Committee to be made to the Bill; and a Clause to be added to the Bill: And that the Committee had examined the Certificates of the several Persons in the Bill mentioned: And the Amendments and Clause being delivered in at the Clerk's Table: And the Amendments being twice read; were, upon the Question, agreed.

The Clause, being twice read, was, upon the Question, rejected.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Butter and Cheese Trade.

Ordered, That all the Members that serve for the Counties of Norfolke, Suffolke, Cambridge, Lancaster, and Chester, be added to the Committee to whom the Bill for Encouragement of the Dealers in Butter and Cheese, is committed.

Woollen Manufactures.

A Bill for encouraging the Woollen Manufactures, was read the Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for the Encouragement of the Woollen Manufactures: And that Sir George Downing do carry up the Bill to the Lords.

Wine Duty.

A Bill for granting an additional Duty upon Wines, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Outlawries.

A Bill concerning revising Outlawries in the King's Bench, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir John Trevor, Mr. Spry, Serjeant Rigby, Serjeant Mainard, Col. Birch, Serjeant Street, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Hen. Ford, Sir Gervas Elwes, Sir John Newton, Mr. Burlace, Sir Sam. Bernardiston, Sir Edw. Norreys, Sir Job Charleton, Sir John Mallet, Sir John Heath, Mr. Cheney, Sir Tho. Clerges, Mr. Pepys, Sir Rob. Sawyer, Mr. Solicitor General, Serjeant Gregory, Serjeant Pedley, Serjeant Seis, Serjeant Stringer, Mr. Crouch, Sir John Knight, Sir Edm. Jenings, Sir Fr. Drake, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Booth, Mr. Mallet, Sir Ad. Browne: And they are to meet Tomorrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Inner Court of Wards.

Delays in Suits.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, intituled, An Act for reviving a former Act, intituled, An Act for avoiding unnecessary Suits and Delay; and for Continuance of One other Act, intituled, An Act for the better Settling Intestates Estates; was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Insolvent Debtors.

An ingrossed Bill for Relief and Release of poor Prisoners, was read the Third time.

And a Debate arising thereupon;

Resolved, &c. That the Debate be adjourned till this Day Sevennight.

Ways and Means.

Resolved, &c. That the House do now resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Manner of Raising of a Supply, not exceeding Four hundred and Fourteen thousand Pounds, for paying off the extraordinary Charge of the Navy and Ordnance; and for paying the Princess of Orange's Portion; and for the Repayment of the Two hundred thousand Pounds, borrowed upon the Credit of the additional Excise.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir John Trevor took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Resolved, &c. That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed further in the Consideration of the Manner of Raising of a Supply, not exceeding Four hundred and Fourteen thousand Pounds, for paying off the extraordinary Charge of the Navy and Ordnance; and for paying the Princess of Orange's Portion; and for the Repayment of the Two hundred thousand Pounds, borrowed upon the Credit of the additional Excise.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
