Parliament further prorogued.

THE Parliament being, on the First Day of this instant August, prorogued until this Day; and his Majesty having by his Royal Proclamation signified his Pleasure, that there should be a further Prorogation, until the First Day of October next;

And the House being met;

A Message was delivered by Sir Edward Carteret, Usher of the Black Rod;

Mr. Speaker,

The Lords, authorized by the King, desire the immediate Attendance of this House, in the House of Lords, to hear the King's Commission read.

And accordingly Mr. Speaker, with the House, went up to the House of Lords: Where the King's Commission for proroguing the Parliament being read; this Parliament was, in pursuance thereof, prorogued until the First Day of October next.
