Bedford Level.
Amendments sent down from the Lords, to the ingrossed Bill for assessing the Taxes of Bedford Level, were read the Third time; and agreed to.
Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments inserted, and agreed to, be returned to the Lords.
Privilege.
Serjeant Charlton reports from the Committee the Matter to them referred touching the Breach of Privilege objected against Thomas Styles by Sir Henry Felton; and that, upon Examination of the whole Matter, the Committee were of an Opinion, there was a Breach of Privilege by the said Styles.
Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, that there was a Breach of Privilege committed by Thomas Styles.
Ordered, That Thomas Styles be discharged, paying his Fees.
Heblethwaite's Estate.
Sir Thomas Gower reports from the Committee to which the Bill for enabling Sir Thomas Heblethwaite to dispose of Lands to pay Debts, and make Provision for younger Children; that the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and heard the Persons concerned; and found no Cause to make any Alteration therein.
Resolved, &c. That the Bill be ingrossed.
Monies due to the Crown.
A Bill, being tendered and accepted, for the better answering of Monies due to the Crown, was read.
Ordered, That the Bill for better answering Monies due to the Crown be read To-morrow Morning.
Suppressing Conventicles.
The Question being propounded, That Leave be given for bringing in a Bill for Continuance of the former Act against Conventicles;
The Question being put, That this Question be now put;
It was Resolved, in the Affirmative:
The main Question being put, That Leave be given for bringing in a Bill for Continuance of the former Act against Conventicles;
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Serjeant Charleton, Mr. Vaughan, and Mr. Milward, to take care to prepare and bring in a Bill for Continuance of the Act against Conventicles.
Supply.
The House resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Manner of raising this Duty.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Seymour took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumes the Chair.
Mr. Seymour reports from the said Committee, that the Committee had made some further Progress in the Consideration of his Majesty's Supply, and came to these Resolutions:
That an additional Duty of Four-pence per Quart be laid on French Wine.
That an additional Duty of Six-pence per Quart be laid on Spanish Wines.
That all other Wines do pay an additional Duty of Six-pence per Quart.
That Twelve-pence per Quart be charged on Brandy:
And that the House will appoint a Committee to consider, in what Time One hundred thousand Pounds, at least, will be raised according to these Rates; and to report the same to the House.

That this House doth also agree with the committee, that a Committee be appointed to consider in what Time One hundred thousand Pounds, at least, may be raised, according to the Rates aforesaid, upon Wine and Brandy; and to report the same to the House: And do accordingly refer it to the Committee formerly appointed to bring in the Estimates of an additional Duty to be laid on Foreign Commodities.
Resolved, &c. That the House will resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of his Majesty's Supply, To-morrow Morning.
Miscarriages of the War.
Resolved, &c. That the Debate concerning Miscarriages be adjourned till Monday Morning.
