Repairing Highways.

A BILL for repairing and maintaining of Highways, was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Tuesday next.

Recovery of Tithes.

A Bill to enable Vicars to recover their Tithes, was read the First time.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Growth of Timber.

A Bill to preserve the Growth of Wood and Timber, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Mr. Pepis, Lord Richardson, Sir Jo. Brampston, Sir Robert Carr, Col. Windham, Mr. Buller, Sir Jo. Mallet, Mr. Orme, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Anth. Bancks' Estate.

Ordered, That these Members following be added to the Committee to which the Bill of Sir Ralph Bancks, was committed; Mr. Stanley, Mr. Steward, Lord Vaughan, Sir Bainh. Throckmorton.

Privilege- Assault of a Member.

Mr. Filmer being called in to the Bar of the House; and Mr. Speaker demanding an Account of him of the Business relating to the Assault and Breach of Privilege to Mr. Mainard:

And having given his Answer thereto:

And Mr. Mainard being again heard; and Sir Walter Moyle called in, and heard again:

And the House being unsatisfied with the Carriage of Mr. Filmer in this Matter, as a Justice of Peace:

The Question being put, That Mr. Filmer be brought to the Bar of this House, to receive Reprehension, upon his Knees, for his Miscarriage;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Attorney General be desired from this House to prefer an Information against Mr. Filmer, for this Miscarriage.

Evesham Election.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Elections, touching the Election for the Town of Evesham, be heard on Monday Morning at Ten of the Clock.

Publick Accounts.

The House then resumed the Consideration of the Report of the Commissioners of Accounts:

And the Commissioners being called in; and being asked, whether they had any further Matter to offer or report to the House, relating to the Second Observation; the Lord Brereton read a Paper of Reasons for their said Observations; and delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table; and was further heard thereunto.

The Commissioners being withdrawn; and Sir George Carteret in his Place answering to the whole Matter, did also withdraw.

Upon the Debate of all which,

Resolved, &c. That Sir George Carteret is guilty of a Misdemeanor within the Second Observation of the Commissioners for Accounts.

Resolved, &c. That this House will proceed in the further Consideration of the Report of the said Commissioners on Monday Morning next: And the Commissioners are then desired to attend.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till Monday, Two of the Clock in the Afternoon; and to sit in the Places formerly appointed.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning next, Eight of the Clock.
