Prayers.

Samuell Shepheard, and Stalz Ahrens, did this Day take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, in order to their Naturalization.

Committee of Privileges.

Ordered, That Col. Phillips and Mr. Johnson be added to the Committee of Privileges and Elections.

Gostwick's Estate.

Ordered, That Sir Richard Wiseman, Mr. Spry, Sir Adam Browne, Col. Whitley, Col. Stroud, Sir Thom. Meres, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, be added to the Committee to which the Bill concerning Sir Wm. Gostwick is committed.

Williamson's Estate.

A Bill to enable Sir Thomas Williamson to sell Lands to pay Debts, was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Hotchkin's Estate.

A Bill to settle Lands on Robert Hotchkin the younger, Gentleman, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Thomas Meres, Sir Solom. Swale, Mr. Finch, Sir Fran. Goodrick, Mr. Morris, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Thom. Allen, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Barnaby, Sir Tho. Meeres, Mr. Crouch, Sir Charles Harbord, Sir Robert Carr, Sir Thomas Cary, Mr. Culleford, Sir Adam Browne, Sir Fretchvile Hollis, Sir Jo. Frize and Cotton Manufacture.

A Bill to regulate the making of Frize and Cotton in the Town of Brecknock, was read the Second time.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which were discontinued be revived, and do sit this Afternoon in the Places formerly appointed.

Bridgwater Election.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Elections, touching the Election of the Town of Bridgwater, be heard on Tuesday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock.

Publick Accounts.

The House, according to former Order, proceeded upon the Report of the Commissioners for Accounts:

The Eighth Observation of the said Commissioners upon the Accounts of Sir Geo. Carteret was read.

And the Commissioners being called in; the Lord Brereton, in the Name of the rest, was heard, as to their Grounds, Reasons, and Instances to the same.

And Sir George Carteret and his Counsel was heard, in Defence thereto.

And afterward they all withdrew.

Upon the Debate of all which, the Question being put, That Sir Geo. Carteret is guilty of a Misdemeanour, within the said Eighth Observation;

The House was divided.

The House proceeded to the reading the Ninth and Tenth Observations:

And having heard the Commissioners for Accounts; and the said Sir Geo. Carteret, and his Counsel, in Manner as aforesaid; and debated the whole Matter;

Resolved, That Sir Geo. Carteret is guilty of a Misdemeanour, within the said Ninth and Tenth Observations.

Resolved, That this House will proceed on Wednesday Morning next, in the further Consideration of the Report of the Commissioners for Accounts.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till To-morrow Two of the Clock in the Afternoon; and to sit in the Places formerly appointed.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
