Ashley's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to enable Anthony Ashley Esquire, Son of the Lord Ashley, to levy Fines, and suffer Recoveries of certain Lands or Hereditaments, being under Age, was read.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time.

Clothstealing.

The Amendments, sent from the Lords, to the Bill for taking away the Benefit of Clergy from such as shall steal Cloth from the Rack; and from such as shall steal or imbezzle his Majesty's Ammunition and Stores.

Resolved, &c. That the Amendments be agreed to; and that the Bill be amended accordingly; and returned to the Lords.

Lord Strangford's Estate.

Mr. Tanner reports from the Committee to which the Bill to enable the Lord Viscount Strangford of the Kingdom of Ireland, to sell Lands for Payment of the Remainder of his Debts, was committed, certain Amendments agreed to be made to the Bill: Which were twice read; and, with some Alteration at the Table, severally agreed to.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be read the Third time To-morrow Morning.

Bill's Estate.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, to enable John Bill, Esquire, to sell certain Lands in Kent and Surrey, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Lord Richardson, Sir Gilbert Talbot, Sir Tho. Lee, Sir Rob. Atkins, Mr. Greenvile, Sir Jo. Knight, Mr. Mervill, Lord Allington, Sir Robert Carr, Sir John Talbot, Sir Jeoffry Shakerly, Sir Lanc. Lake, Sir John Ernely, Sir John Lowther, Sir Solo. Swale, Sir Tho. Gower, Sir Denny Ashburnham, Sir Tho. Allen, and all the Members that serve for London, Westminster, and Middlesex: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Yarmouth Pier, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee touching Yarmouth Pier Bill, and all other Committees which are discontinued, be revived; and do meet this Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Beckham's Estate.

A Bill, sent from the Lords, to enable Mr. Beckham to sell Lands to pay Debts, was read the Second time:

And the Bill having passed this House in a former Session; and no Exception being now taken to it;

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Third time To-morrow Morning.

Regulation Jurors.

Sir Thomas Gower reports from the Committee to which the Bill concerning Jurors was committed, some Amendments agreed to be made to the Bill: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be ingrossed.

Exporting Beer, &c.

A Bill for the exporting Beer and Coal was read.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Duty on Brandy.

A Bill for settling the Rates of Excise on Brandy was read the First time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Second time.

Repairing Highways.

The ingrossed Bill for the better Repair of Highways and Bridges, was read: And some Amendments, upon the Question, agreed, and made thereto at the Table;

A Proviso, for Penalties on such as shall fail in Performance of the Act, was thrice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

Another Proviso, ingrossed, for settling a Rate for Repair of Highways, was thrice read: And some Amendments, upon the Question, agreed, and made thereto at the Table;

The Proviso, with the Amendments, was read the Third time; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

Another Proviso, for the Time of chusing Officers, was thrice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

Another Proviso, for the County of Monmouth, was thrice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to.

A Proviso, for the County of Devon, and other Places, was thrice read; and, upon the Question, agreed to; for making Provision where Carts cannot be used.

Another Proviso, for Penalties on such as are Defaulters, was tendered, and read:

The Question being put, That the Proviso be read a Second time;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Proviso was read a Scond time; and the Blanks in it agreed to be filled up with the Penalties of One Shilling Sixpence for the Labourer; Three Shillings for the Man and Horse; and Ten Shillings for the Cart.

The Question being put, That the Declaratory Part, at the End of the Proviso, be omitted;

It was Resolved in the Affirmative:

And the Proviso amended accordingly.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments and Provisoes agreed to, do pass: And that the Title be, An additional Act for the better Repairing of Highways and Bridges:

And Sir Thomas Clergis is to carry up the Bill to the Lords; and to see the Provisoes rightly placed and inserted in the Bill.

Rebuilding London.

Ordered, That the City Bill be read the first thing To-morrow Morning; and nothing else to intervene.

Strode's Estate.

Ordered, That all the Members of this House, of the Long Robe, be added to the Committee to which the Bill concerning the Sisters and Coheirs of Margaret Strode, is committed.

Fees in Out-ports.

Ordered, That Sir John Lowther and Sir Thomas Littleton be added to the Committee for settling the Custom House Fees in the Out Ports.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
