A BILL for Naturalization of Horatio Woodhouse Clerk, and others, was read.

Resolved, That this Bill be read a Second time.

Duchy of Cornewall Leasing.

An ingrossed Bill for enabling his Majesty to make Leases of his Duchy Lands in Cornewall, was read.

A Proviso was tendered, and twice read.

The Proviso was read a Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso be made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for enabling his Majesty to make Leases of his Duchy Lands in Cornwall.

Hotchkin's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill to enable Robert Hotchkin to sell Lands, to pay Debts and raise Portions for Daughters, sent from the Lords, was read the Second time:

And no Exception taken to it;

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be read a Third time.

London Poor.

A Bill for Recovery of Arrears of Money, given to the Use of the Poor in the City of London, was read the Second time:

And a Debate being thereupon;

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed, upon the Debates of the House, to Sir John Frederick, Sir Lan. Lake, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir Winston Churchill, Sir Gilbert Talbott, Colonel Birch, Mr. Seymour, Mr. Buller, Mr. Henly, Colonel Reames, Sir James Thynn, Sir John Talbott, Sir John Lowther, Sir Tho. Dolman, Sir Clifford Clifton, Mr. Steward, Mr. Daniell, Mr. Morice, Sir Tho. Allen, Sir Robert Carr, Colonel Kirkby, Sir Ant. Irby, Mr. Jolliffe, Sir Wm. Coventry, Mr. Buscawen, Mr. Morice, Sir Rich. Ship-building and Pirates.

Mr. Wren reports Amendments to the Bill to encourage the Building of Merchant Ships serviceable for Fight; and, to prevent Delivery of English Ships to Pirates, some Amendments to be made to the Bill: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Ordered, That it be referred to Mr. Wren, Mr. Jolly, Sir Wm. Thompson, Sir Tho. Meeres, Mr. Whorwood, Mr. Edw. Seymour, Colonel Reames, Sir Court. Poole, Mr. Love, Colonel Strode, Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir John Knight, Mr. Crowch, Sir John Morley, Mr. Jolliffe, or any Three of them, to prepare and bring in a Proviso, ingrossed, with Penalties, to prohibit the carrying of Merchants Goods in Ships of War.

Repairing Highways.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Mondeford Brampston and Sir Nathaniell Hobart;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have returned you the Bill concerning Highways, with some Amendments; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

House to sit on Saturday, &c.

Ordered, That the House do sit on Saturday: And that no Members do go out of Town without Leave: And that no new Bill, or Business, be entertained or received before the Recess.

Lord Roos' Divorce.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act for John Mannors, called Lord Roos, to marry again.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair: And, taking the Chair again,

Resolved, &c. That Sir Thomas Meeres be called to the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Thomas Meeres took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumes the Chair.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports from the said Committee, that they had made some Progress upon the said Bill: And that it was the Opinion of the Committee, that the House be humbly moved, to resolve into a Committee of the whole House this Afternoon, to proceed in the further Consideration of the said Bill.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the said Committee, That this House resolve into a Committee of the whole House this Afternoon, to proceed in the further Consideration of the said Bill.

And then the House adjourned till Three of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Ordered, That Jannett Jenings, and Robert Kiffes, be taken into Custody by the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for refusing to attend the Committee to whom the Petition of Mrs. Humes, is committed: And that the Serjeant have them in a Readiness to attend the said Committee on Saturday Morning next, at Seven of the Clock.

Repairing Highways.

The House then proceeded to the Reading of the Amendments, sent down from the Lords, to the additional Bill for the better repairing of Highways and Bridges: Which were twice read.

The Question being put, To agree to the Amendment, Press the 5th, Line the 13th, for reading "three" instead of "five;"

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being severally put, For agreeing to the rest of the Amendments;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Sir Thomas Meeres reports from the said Committee, that the Committee had examined the Matter of Fact in the said Bill; and had gone through the Bill; and found no Cause to make any Alteration or Amendment thereunto.

The said Bill was read a Third time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for John Mannors, called Lord Roos, to marry again: And Sir Thomas Meeres do carry it back to the Lords.
