Prayers.

Durham, Election of Members.

ORDERED, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for the County of Durham to send Knights and Burgesses to serve in Parliament: And that the Bill be read To-morrow Morning.

Destroying Houses to stop Fire.

A Bill touching the Blowing up, or Pulling down, of Houses, to prevent the Increase of Fire, was read the Second time.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be committed to Sir Thomas Clergis, Sir Thomas Allen, Sir Trevor Williams, Sir Anthony Irby, Sir Thomas Meeres, Mr. Westphaling, Sir Thomas Lee, Sir John Hanmer, Sir John Talbot, Sir Will. Coventry, Sir William Bucknall, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Steward, Sir Lancelot Lake, Mr. Hopkins, Sir John Morton, Sir John Bramston, Sir Edw. Masters, Mr. Maynard, Colonel Gilby, Lord Ashley, Sir Norton Knatchbold, Mr. Onslow, Sir Thom. Bide, Mr. Ford, Sir Phil. Musgrave, Sir Charles Harbord, Sir John Knight, Lord Ancram, Sir Solomon Swale, Mr. Mervell, Doctor Burwell, Sir Eliab Harvey, Sir John Lowther, Mr. Wood, Mr. Powle, Mr. Pleydall Colonel Birch, Sir Edm. Winham, Mr. Culliford, Mr. Daniell, Sir John Frederick, Sir Robert Carr, and all the Members that serve for London, Bristoll, Southwarke, and Westminster: And all that come shall have Voices: And they are to meet on Monday, at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Resolved, &c. That this Petition be referred to the same Committee to which the Bill was committed touching Blowing up of Houses.

Poor Children Apprentices.

A Bill for binding poor Children Apprentices, was read a Second time.

Resolved, &c. That this Bill be committed to Sir William Coventry, Colonel Birch, Mr. Henley, Mr. Peirpoint, Sir Solomon Swale, Sir John Bennett, Sir Thomas Allen, Mr. Hugh Buscowen, Sir Nich. Steward, Mr. Onslow, Sir Thom. Lee, Sir John Knight, Mr. Low, Sir Jonath. Trelawny, Lord Ancram, Sir John Covett, Sir Thomas Clergis, Sir Trevor Williams, Mr. Maynard, Sir Anth. Irby, Mr. Culliford, Sir Launc. Lake, Sir Courtney Poole, Mr. Edw. Buscowen, Mr. Dowdswell, Sir Thom. Hanmer, Sir John Bramston, Sir Leoline Jenkins, Sir Geo. Downing, Sir John Mounson, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Swanton: And all that come to have Voices: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

A Clause was delivered in, and twice read, for settling the Wages of Labourers and Workmen.

Resolved, &c. That this Clause be committed to the same Committee to which the Bill for binding poor Children Apprentices is committed.

Supply Bill.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, upon the Bill for his Majesty's Supply.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Attorney General took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Attorney General reports from the said Committee, That they had made some further Progress upon the said Bill; and humbly moved, from the said Committee, That the House would resolve into a Committee again, on Tuesday Morning next, Ten of the Clock, to proceed in the further Consideration thereof.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Committee, that the House be resolved into a Committee of the whole House, on Tuesday Morning next, Ten of the Clock, to proceed in the further Consideration of the Bill for his Majesty's Supply.

Preventing Growth of Popery.

Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That an Address be prepared, to be presented to his Majesty, for suppressing the Growth of Popery.

Resolved, That the Address to be presented to his Majesty, for suppressing the Growth of Popery, be drawn up upon the Subject Matter of the Address passed this House, for that Purpose, October 26th, 18 Caroli Secundi; and now read.

And that it be referred to Sir Thomas Meeres, Mr. Attorney General, Mr. Powle, Sir Robert Howard, Mr. Crouch, Mr. Sacheverell, Mr. Vaughan, Sir Thom. Osborne, Sir Thomas Lee, or any Three of them, to prepare and bring in the same: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Resolved, That a Bill be brought in for the incapacitating of all Persons who shall refuse to take the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, and the Sacrament, according to the Rites of the Church of England, of holding any publick Employments, military or civil: And that it be referred to the Committee appointed to draw up the Address for suppressing of Popery, to prepare and bring in the same.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
