Lunæ, 20 die Octobris, 1673.

Address against D. of York's Marriage.

ORDERED, That an Address be made to his Majesty, by such Members of this House as are of his Majesty's Privy Council, to acquaint his Majesty, that it is the humble Desire of this House, that the intended Marriage of his Royal Highness with the Dutchess of Modena be not consummated; and that he may not be married to any Person, but of the Protestant Religion.

Chiping Wicombe Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the Election of a Member to serve for the Borough of Chiping Wicombe, in the County of Bucks, in the room of Sir Edmond Pye, deceased.

Chichester Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the City of Chichester in the County of Sussex, in the room of Sir Henry Peckham, decased.

Bewdley Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the Borough of Bewdley in the County of Worcester, in the room of Sir Henry Herbert, deceased.

Buroughbrigg Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the Borough of Buroughbrigg in the County of York, in the room of Sir Robert Long, deceased.

Huntington Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Knight of the Shire for the County of Huntington, in the room of Colonel Williams Esquire, deceased.

Aldborough Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the Borough of Aldborough in the County of York, in the room of Sir Francis Goodrick, deceased.

Yorke Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the City of Yorke, in the room of Sir Thomas Osborne, called up to the House of Lords.

Castlerising Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the Borough of Castlerising, in the County of Norfolke, in the room of Sir Robert Paston, called up to the House of Lords.

Malmsbury Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the Borough of Malmsbury in the County of Wilts, in the room of Sir Edward Poole, deceased.

Teuxbury Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the Borough of Teuxbury in the County of Gloucester, in the room of Richard Dowdswell, deceased.

Exeter Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the City of Exeter in the County of Devon, in the room of Robert Walker Esquire, deceased.

Wells Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue forth his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Member to serve for the City of Wells in the County of Somerset, in the room of Richard Lord Butler, called up to the House of Lords.

Parliament prorogued.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edw. Carteret, Usher of the Black Rod;

Mr. Speaker,

The Lords, authorized by his Majesty's Commission, desire this honourable House to attend them forthwith in the House of Peers.

And accordingly Mr. Speaker, with this House, went up: Where his Majesty's Commission was read, for the Proroguing of the Parliament till the Twenty-seventh of this instant October.

And accordingly both Houses were prorogued till that time.
